District 8 in Canley Vale is good destination, especially for those craving high-quality Cantonese staples. Since the opening of the Novotel resort, the surge in popularity is undeniable; the atmosphere is vibrant, though you should definitely be prepared for a significant wait during weekend lunch and dinner rushes. The menu highlights are worth the effort. The roast duck is impressively succulent with that essential rendered skin, and the Xiao Long Bao holds its own with a delicate wrap and flavorful broth. For a bit of variety, the dumpling set is a great way to sample their technical skill. To navigate the crowds and the price point, signing up for a membership is a pro move—the weekday discounts for lunch and dinner offer excellent value. It’s a bustling, modern hub that manages to maintain food quality despite the high volume.

New extension and additional cafes. District 8 still offers unparalleled good quality of food. Enjoyed a social lunch and coffee today.

Its inside a club but most entrances are closed due to renovation walk around and got in via novotel entry. As after lunch hours, not many people here. I ordered "viet fermented fish noodle 🍜 soup" $18.5. I did ask for soup to be hotter as temperature wise. But the soup just mild hot enough. When the soup temperature hotter, taste much nicer. Also by the time put the uncooked veg would decrese the soup temperature dramatically. Thats the reason why i asked. Very generous shreddred veg service these day also with shiso leaves. I cannot taste any fermented and the soup is slight sweet not much flavoured. Just like combination soup noodles soup. The thick round noodles was used. Sitting area is nice. The internet connection is really bad, dropped a number of times during the stay

A pleasant dining experience. You order up front on a piece of paper and you get the option of either paying cash/ card. We enjoyed the freshness of the Roasted Duck with Noodle (Vịt Quay với Mì) - Dry. We would highly recommend. The dining area does need a bit of a wipe and clean. Everything including cutlery and table water was self serve. We would come here again as there is so much variety and choice of foods to choose from.

We had a pretty good time enjoying a yum cha feast at this restaurant. It was our second visit, and we’re happy to say the food was delicious. Everything was just as we hoped for, so no complaints there. The service could use a bit more polish, but overall, we’re quite pleased.
