You will be hard pressed to find a more authentic style Vietnamese cooking on the lower north shore. Their Pho is amazing, so many flavours. The owners are wonderful and recommend dishes based on what you're after. Well priced and comfortable setting. Highly recommend!
I ordered the Hanoi Pho Bo the special stir fried beef - was really good! Flavour was on point, portion was decent, the homemade chilli sauce was also really yummy. Serving speed was super fast. Pricing is higher than a normal pho place but given the quality and location I think it’s justified. Only thing is that it doesn’t have aircon so I was sweating a lot while eating… so I gave a 3 star for the atmosphere
This was my second visit, drawn back by the warm hospitality of the staff, who are consistently kind and welcoming. Service remains commendably efficient, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. The pho, while decent, lacked the depth of aroma I personally prefer. However, I recognised that this may be a characteristic of Northern-style pho, which tends to emphasise simplicity over complexity in its broth. In contrast, the standout dish for me was the Bun Cha. The meat was beautifully cooked, boasting a well-charred exterior that imparted a rich, smoky flavor. Additionally, the vegetarian spring rolls are a delightful accompaniment, adding both texture and balance to the meal. It comes as no surprise that the pricing of the dishes reflects the upscale nature of the locale in which the business is situated. While I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the pho, I highly encourage trying the Bun Cha and Vegetarian Spring Rolls. Having enjoyed them on two occasions, I can confidently say they were consistently satisfying.
We have been to Le Tran several times and it never disappoints. Food and flavours are very fresh. I love the crispy pancake with pork and prawn, served with a salad. It’s gluten free and really is very crispy. Yum. Gluten free soy sauce is available too. My partner had the Pho Bo Tai Lan (Special Pho) and loved it. Wonderful flavours I am told. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We will return and can certainly recommend Le Tran Lane Cove
As the other reviews note there are some teething issues as they settle in to service - we had an entertaining night at this BYO restaurant. Overall, the pho was ok, the fish was good. One main was served and finished with another coming almost 30mins later. Rice was served for the second main but was cold by the time it came. Seating in general is pretty close so fingers crossed you get friendly neighbours.
