The restaurant was really nice overall. The food had that comforting and “made by mom” feeling, which we really enjoyed. Everything tasted satisfying. The prices were also very affordable, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was quite peaceful though it felt a bit too silent. Some background music would make it better. When we first arrived, there wasn’t any staff present to greet or to take order, which was a little confusing. Still, a great experience with great food. Will come back.
A very cosy Vietnamese restaurant located in Canley Vale, close to Canley Vale Swimming Centre. It’s a nice local spot with a relaxed atmosphere and tasty Vietnamese food that keeps people coming back. The dishes are flavourful and satisfying, and it’s a good place for a casual meal in the area. One small tip if you’re ordering food over the phone: it’s best to ask them to repeat your order and double-check it when you pick up, as mistakes with orders can happen occasionally. So glad we found this place, we were looking around Canley heights on maps and went off star rating alone. Great outdoor seating and indoor space. Simple menu with only a few options made ordering easy. Phò dac biet was amazing, the most tender tendon I've ever had and the broth was clean but full of flavour. The selection of condiments was great too especially the pickled garlic. My Partner had the Bun Dac biet and the grilled pork was juicy, sweet and tangy. The custard apple smoothie and the cafe sau da were also great. Can't wait to come back.
Yummy food in a very relaxed and cosy setting. Great if you don't feel like battling traffic and others for a parking spot in Canley Vale/Cabramatta nearby. Very friendly staff and prices on par with other Viet restaurants. Highly recommend the Broken Rice Special/Com Tam Bi Suon Cha Special (Awesome Grilled Pork Chops)
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mai’s Restaurant & Cafe, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
