The noodles themselves were not very good; they were too hard, and neither bowl tasted good. As for the mint beef, it wasn't freshly stir-fried, and the texture was much worse. My expectations were too high; a friend had recommended this place.
Signature minty beef is always a hit! #1 Copper Pot was on the saltier side, but you can ask the staff to reduce the saltiness of the soup.
This is a nice Asian food restaurant in Rosebery. So in my opinion for local people it is a good choice. I have been here already 3 times and never was disappointed. The ambience is nothing special, it’s not a fine dining, so the main reason is the quality of the food. Service was ok, the girls waitress polite and attentive. The selection of dishes is wide and overall the experience is good. I guess that living in the area this place would be popular for take away. Well done to the owners, keep the quality of the food at good standard and you will have no problems. I will be back here as regular customer
A favourite of my office even though it’s a 20-minute walk away. Great noodles; I’m not usually a rice noodle person but this converted me, and the wheat noodle options are nice too. I like the seasonal specials because it’s stuff I’ve never seen anywhere else. Lots of things to try for spicy enthusiasts. Atmosphere-wise, the shop has great lighting at lunchtime. Also sometimes there is apparently a cat.
Rice noodles yunnan style - broth is clear and spiked with chilli oil, good for your rice noodle craving. Wontons in xo sauce are solid. Ordering is straightforward, you can touch screen order next to counter or order from a hooman. Apparently there is a cat that eats too much that wanders in regularly, there is hilarious signage warning not to feed.
