This place does very nice stir fry’s, highly recommend the nasi goreng, char kway teow and signature chow mein not bad either If getting the crispy pork belly the portion is huge so great to share but get a side like the fried rice with extra sauce else it’s too plain. My favourite wontons here are number 7 pork and prawn with chilli yuuuuum!!! I visit the RSL just for this place!
I am posting to remind myself not to get the chicken Laksa again. The chicken was dry and tasteless. However the soup and noodles was great. If you like the tofu Laksa, I am sure that will be a green light as the tofu that came with my chicken Laksa was decent.
At 45, the worst food i have every eaten. I wish I took pictures. Nasi Goreng, the egg was cooked at lunch time. I picked the egg up with a fork poked through ONLY the aged skin on the top of the yoke. The whites, in-between rubber and some form of flexible epoxy. Bland, colourless, disgusting. I dont send back food, I ate what i could, they knew what they were serving. Ive never left a review, if I can stop 1 person eating here, that will be enough for me. They are not trying and do not deserve to be in the Castle Hill RSL. Please for the love of all decency replace the eatery with a business that wants to serve actual edible food, please. Humans dont deserve this.
I had dinner with my friends last night at wokafella. We visited the RSL Club a few times and food at wokafella has always impressed me with good food. The nasi goreng was ok, combination laksa and the wonton beef brisket noodle soup were excellent. Keep the good work.
I used to like this braised tofu with roasted pork belly rice here. But the quality is keeping dropping. Today I ordered again, the quality has reached to a point that I decided to leave a negative review. You can see the photo (attached) that almost all of the pork are 100% fat! I ended up only eating three slices of mushrooms and some rice with sauce! None of the pork are eatable as the fat makes me sick! Please tell me if it worths $19 for rice, three slices of mushrooms and some sauce! I actually want this dish refunded.
