At their best, Merivale places offer style and substance at slightly inflated prices. The formula isn't quite fulfilled here. The pizza style is different to their Beresford style. This one is thin, with good toppings. It feels more pissaliediere than pizza. Its the highlight of the meal though. I guess hand cut chips were never likely at $12 a modest plate. The carrots and bottarga were both satisfying and satisfactory. Id love to tell you how the fish we ordered was, but the "no repeat, no meal check (nfg)" waiter never ordered it. After the error was uncovered, we never saw him. The service was a slip from the usual Merivale standard. Its a really cool venue. It's not new enough to need bedding down. It needs their HR division to make an intervention.

What a fancy RSL! Guests can enter but we joined for $10 since food and booze discounts made it worth it in just one lunch. My partner had the chicken burger which looked incredible, and I saw someone get the Parma which was massive, but I had the chicken salad which was a very small, especially for the price - one small breast and a small side salad… I was hungry afterwards. Still such a beautiful venue… it was a nice experience.

Whenever Merivale takes over, it turns to gold. The atmosphere is fantastic—very much a beach-club vibe with plenty of greenery, great open spaces and relaxed seating areas. There’s lots of staff and they’re all friendly, and the portable outdoor bar is a great touch. The food is excellent quality—some of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time, and the tuna tartare is spot on. This place has attracted more good-looking people(girls) than Rose Bay has ever seen in history! , which says a lot. It’s exactly what the area needed; it was feeling quite dull before this opened. Been here more than 6 times ... it's my local now Rose Bay needed this ! Look at the rest of the world... Enough with boring old pubs and restaurants that have no atmosphere this has got it all and good food! I can already see the rear entrance becoming popular for those keen to show off their supercars and Bentleys 😄. Wouldn’t be surprised if valet parking eventually appears, LA-style. And seeing people dressed like it’s Saint-Tropez is amusing in Sydney—but things are finally changing. Well done Justin and Merrivale ! Thank you for bringing your life to RoseBay!

We have known the RSL in Rose Bay for nearly 20 years and so were very excited to see what the refurb had achieved and were not disappointed - the new venue looks incredible, has lots of room and some throw backs to what an RSL needs to be. Glad the VC is still on display. Unfortunately the team don't quite have the service as it should be - we had a table for 4 at Notti's and had starters and mains and a desert. The food did not arrive at the same time and my daughter had nearly finished her main before the other dishes came out (all delivered by different staff). We were warned that the pizza might arrive separately but not every single dish. The food itself was okay but I'm not going to give a false review here - you can get better and cheaper elsewhere. Some of the staff seemed to be wandering around aimlessly not clear on their tasks yet, even area supervisors didn't seem to be doing a lot. The Management Team needs to re-think how the operation is handled, it needs work..... if they can handle it then the venue will receive good ratings. I think 4.1 is too high. The cocktail bar area is very cool but as was admitted by staff the records on display are just for show - shame - the music late on is digital. Apparently queueing is crazy late at night. We played pool and the tables make the sports area a great place to hang out. The Club Rose Bay could and I am sure will be a great venue to eat and drink, but not yet that's for sure.....

I had a great experience at the Rose Bay Social Club. The atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming, and the food is absolutely spectacular. Don’t forget to order the AIX Rosé wine , I tried it in Australia and completely fell in love with it. Even though it’s a social club, they do accept walk-ins from the public, which is a big plus. If you want to become a member, the fee is only $10 AUD, which is very reasonable. It’s also a perfect place for families with children, as they offer great entertainment and games for kids. The service still has room for improvement , the team seemed quite young and not fully trained yet but I believe they will get better with time. I highly recommend it!
