Rating food only The food here is genuinely great value. I had the Thursday steak night — a 350g T-bone, cooked perfectly to medium with beautiful grill marks, served with a generous portion of chips and a fresh garden salad. All for just $25 as a member. You really can't go wrong. Compared to other RSL branches, the food here stands out.
Many fond memories of the NRRSL , staff are like my family. Food, beverage and service always exemplary. Many sub clubs if you're so inclined, fun interesting giveaways and promotions daily. Great atmosphere. Great for functions , ample parking and easy access. Heard there's about to be renovations but hope not too much changes due to historic nature. A great institution
Although I am a member, It’s been a long time since I have had dinner at the North Ryde RSL. Dropped in tonight for a quick dinner. It was pretty busy for a Thursday night, then I realized it’s lucky draw night with some cash giveaways. I was more interested in the food and my wife and I both decided on the steak special.. 350gm T-bone with chips and sales with choice of sauce. It was also all gluten free (which is unusual) Steak was pretty good and also good value at $25 for members ($30 for non members). Drinks were also reasonable. (RSL prices) The wines (I saw served at the bar) were generous, and l see what a RSL pour is meant to be. Would visit another weeknight and try the other specials. Of course there are hundreds of pokies (I think) But how else do you spice specials on food..
In Sydney on business from Melbourne and have been to this RSl for four nights in a row. The food has been delicious and high quality, I personally thanked the head chef and his team. The staff are extremely friendly, making my trip very enjoyable.
Pretty terrible service in the restaurant. Ordered two steaks one was okish although the salad was old and soft and the steak was overcooked the other steak was well and truly off. We called over a gentleman and advised that we have tried to eat this however it was uneatable and tasted like mould. He shrugged his shoulders took the plate and never came back. No apology no trying to make it right.
