Friday 17th July, attended 1pm. Plenty of club staff to sign you in and guide you around, all good so far. Restaurant was about 2/3 full, we sat down, chose from the menu and went to order with the cashier. This is when the problems started, they were understaffed and under pressure, as was the bar on the other side. Lady before me, with her 2 daughters received worse service than me so I shouldn't complain that I waited about 10 minutes to place my order, when there were only 2 of us to order. The cashier told me there was going to be a delay as they were so busy. Charged extra because I wasn't a member (after today I will never become a member) Waited 40 minutes for pretty ordinary food and left. There appeared to be about 7-8 staff in the kitchen but no organisation, no urgency, just a lot of stress. We left, 4 club employees thanked us as we left, why at least one of them could not be redirected to assist the under pressure cashier is beyond explanation. For NSW Clubs: this ridiculous policy of signing in an being a member is well past its useby date. By charging me, a guest, 15-20% more indicates you do not want visitors, that this club is a closed shop. I have never understood this ridiculous concept, there are other ways to subtlety reward members without being offensive to guests.

A recently renovated dining area with options for meals in certain hours or snacks all day. Coffee and cake options available if you only want a light snack. Nice mood lighting throughout made it a pleasant place to sit. Members enjoy discounted food and drinks. A great range of beers on tap. Some gluten free options available. A $14.90 lunch menu available weekdays and they have different specials for dinner eg Tuesdays burger night. The children’s play room is within the dining area and has a glass wall so you can see your children if you sit at the tables directly next to it. Easy walking distance to Gymea station. A great club and worth visiting.

Located at 57 Manchester Road, Gymea, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 Even though this is a very nice looking club (I believe they have had a recent refurbishment), the enjoyment of being here was largely outweighed by the exorbitant prices. I had a chicken schnitzel burger and fries. Now if you are not fortunate enough to have a membership card, it would have cost $31, with the card it was $26. This is so expensive. I feel prices like this are going to drive people away from a club I thought was meant to cater to people in the working class and their budget. My friend had a grilled fish and chips from the specials, now I know you have to expect smaller portion sizes but this was tiny. Three mouth fulls if he was lucky. Also, they wanted to charge us $11.00 for an ice cream, so expensive. Saying this, my burger was very tasty 😋 and I didn’t hear anyone from my group saying they didn’t like their food. It was just the prices and portion sizes which were an issue. The club is easy to get around and very accessible for people with wheelchairs 🦼 and mobility difficulties. This included people in my group. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It’s a shame that this club has pushed out the average income person through their pricing because it is a lovely and welcoming place. For this reason, I don’t know if I would return and I don’t know if I will recommend. 🤷‍♀️

For a club, it's just lovely. Fantastic, friendly service, tasteful interior design, a free book library, free snooker tables and more. We were just visiting the area for a weekend but would come here regularly if we lived nearby. Food terrific too.

A straightforward " RSL plus" where you eat well but $ value is not great. Service is not uniform, half the staff are cheerful and willing, the other half are sulky, depressed, and forgetful. There's noone training these kids to give of their absolute best.
