We came to this café for breaksfast and the food was honestly excellent. Unfortunately, the service experience did not match the quality of the food. There were only 4 customers seated in the restaurant, and while one brunette waitress was welcoming, polite and smiling throughout the service, the other blonde waitress barely acknowledged us even though she was not busy. When she brought our coffees, the way she spoke felt very cold and abrupt, almost as if she did not want to be there. We also noticed the same attitude with another table. When I left, the brunette waitress kindly said goodbye, while the other waitress completely ignored us again. It’s a shame because the food was genuinely very good, but when customers do not feel welcome, it does not make them want to come back.

Went there this morning and, despite not being busy (only two people were eating), the experience was disappointing. The lady with glasses at the counter didn’t greet me or acknowledge my presence—I had to ask if they were serving breakfast, and only then got a response. I also had to request a menu myself. Even after paying, there was no “thank you” or any basic level of customer service. It’s a shame, especially when there are so many other great options around. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing experience at Bayside by Chef Michael! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming — you can tell they genuinely care about every guest. We started with the soup, which was absolutely delicious. It came with a generous slice of toasted bread drizzled with olive oil — simple but so well done. The flavors were comforting, balanced, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. We also tried the burger, and it didn’t disappoint! Juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor. Everything from the bun to the sides complemented it perfectly. I had the steak and was curious if they served it with rice. I asked the chef personally, and to my surprise, he served it with beautifully seasoned turmeric rice. The sauce from the steak poured over the rice was just divine — rich, savoury, and full of depth. It elevated the whole dish to another level. You can tell that Chef Michael puts his heart into every plate. The attention to detail, the thoughtful combinations, and the passion behind the food truly make this place a gem. Highly recommend it for anyone who appreciates great food, excellent service, and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu!

Unfortunatly lunch was not great! My partner and i shared a steak sandwich and seafood chowder. The chowder was full of large pieces of onion which im not a fan the only chowder ive ever had was smooth consistancy with seafood sometimes corn which is always yummy. And the steak sandwich steak was under cooked, rare and cold inside. The chips were the best. Maybe just a bad day all the other reviews are happy chappies.
