Wow! What a meal. I visited Farmhouse a while back as a group of 4. The set menu is so interesting, with gorgeous seasonal offerings. Everything from start to finish was incredible! The starter canopies (snacks du jour) followed by the scallops with warm, fresh sourdough was the perfect combination. The beer tartare was surprisingly one of our favourite dishes - the beef was so soft and the sauce and garnishes worked so well alongside the homemade crisps 10/10 🌟 the fish with the cheesy mash was SO tasty, I can’t believe how generous the portions were too. Finally desserts were truly special, absolutely adored the fresh, seasonal mango and the chocolate caramels. Wine list is extensive and the Chardonnay we had was too easy to drink lol. The only thing I found interesting was how it wasn’t too busy on a Sunday, there weren’t many other groups there. Would highly recommend going, this place deserves every single good review. One of my favourite meals of 2025!

We had the $100 set menu plus add on scallops ($10 per person). Most dishes were delicious, and they had great vibes and friendly service. Pricey but worth it for the quality and atmosphere. Sadly the barramundi main was too salty and difficult to eat, we enjoyed all the other dishes though. Good spot for a special occasion!

I had such a great experience. Hands down one of the best fine dining places I’ve had. The food came in rly good portion and the seasoning was both spot-on and innovative. We also had the add-ons (scallops and bay bugs) which were surprisingly good. Service was very professional.

21/3/26 - 4 stars Quite an inconspicuous bistro in Kings Cross. Not very famous (yet), but, definitely glad to have come across it. The restaurant is quite small and overall fairly casual with both indoor and outdoor seating. Small number of staff but quite friendly. Decor is true to the restaurants name and feels like you're in the back of a cottage. At $100pp, the set menu isn't cheap as there are only 4 dishes. The serving sizes are fairly modest so found the value slightly underwhelming. That being said, the quality was quite good. Overall, it's a pretty nice spot for a slightly fancy dinner. Starters: S+, 8.5/10. The small half potato with bacon and chives was nothing special. Liked the other chewy puffed rice dish. Sourdough was really good actually, would buy a loaf if sold individually. Scallop: A, 7/10. Not worth the $10. Ordinary flavours and texture. Terrine de la mer: S+, 8.5/10. No idea what goes into making these small white slabs but they were quite umami and slightly sweet. The veloute was refreshing. Beef Wellington: SS, 9/10. My first time trying this British classic. The puff pastry and mushroom filling were delicious and complimented the beef. A bit on the rarer side in terms of the beef but still tasty. Only complaint would be that the sauce was really salty. Sides: S+, 8.5/10. Mash was nice and creamy without overwhelming buttery-ness. Madeleines: SS+, 9.5/10. Definitely the best I've ever had, though not my usual go to baked good. Really crispy but still chewy. Slight ?caramel glaze was nice. Vanilla mascarpone: S, 8/10. Light and refreshing but not overly impressive.

The best food we have had in a long time!! Would definitely recommend. Great vibes and lovely staff! The beef wellington was unbelievable and the bread and butter starter was a taste sensation. They were very accommodating to dietary requirements. 100% coming back
