Disgusting. The worst service experience I have experienced globally. Without a doubt and it’s at the local pub. The rudest, most condescending, off putting and offensive bar worker who didn’t know anything about the wine or beers serving and was extra rude to my friend for enquiring about the wine. An empty bar and wouldn’t even look at the few customers she interacted with. She left a huge impression on us on how rude and disinterested she was that I had to leave a review. I know Sydney has terrible service but this was a new low. It doesn’t matter what day she had, to be that rude to my friend was a new kind of low. Absolutely pathetic. In this city, in that pub and in this day and age there is no excuse for her appalling behaviour and attitude. There are workers on less than a $1 day in Bangkok who would give more kindness and effort than her. She is shameful and a disgrace. We will not be going back until the Oaks changes its staff.
I just wrote a review for Chewie on The Oaks review page. She has made 100s of cocktails today and her customer service is excellent. My katsu chicken was amazing and very fresh.
I had literally amazing time with my friends. all dishes from starters to dessert were great. Sharing starters with wine made me mouthwatering. Steak and cauliflower as main were creative and delicious. lots of cocktail, beer and wine were brilliant. Guilty free vegan chocolate mousse and pineapple carpaccio made with rum were amazing. I’ll definitely visit back alala’s.
I have been to this place for a couple of times now, the taste of food is really amazing. Best food in Sydney. Host and floor staffs really make you feel special throughout your dining. The best part is the exclusive wines. The floor staffs have good knowledge on wine and will help to choose the one that goes best with your choice of food. I will be back soon for sure! I really love Fig Tartine and Watermelon Salad!
