My friend and I enjoyed eating at Mary's. We both ordered the Mary's burger. They were good and tasty. The burgers were made fresh to order and came out nice and hot. You could clearly distinguish between all the different elements in it. The patty was well seasoned and juicy. Each burger came with chips. They were also cooked well and a good size serve. We ordered half a bird too which was 4 pieces of fried chicken. It was also tasty and succulent with a nice, crisp and crunchy coating. It was well drained and not oily. We thought it was a bit expensive though for $25. Service was excellent. It was very efficient, warm, friendly, helpful and courteous.

Felt like it took forever for the burgers to arrive. They were quite good, a good balance of meat, cheese and bun in Cheese burger. I loved the texture of soft bun paired with smashed patty, generously seasoned with salt. Burger comes with side of fries so price tag of 24 is quite ok.

Tried Marys for the first time. The atmosphere was just yeh. No words really. I felt like vampires would come out at midnight. The food was good, truffle Mayo, marys with bacon and shoe string fries. The bacon was almost the same consistency as what I would find on the bottom of my oven. Burnt to a crisp. The patty was well cooked, enjoyed it. The burger was a little small for the price. All in all the place is great and food is really high quality. But the price is next level. $31 for a burger and fries. And the burger is smaller than most other places. To come here for a novelty is recommended but to actually have a meal to fill you up in this economy. No. However i might be back when I get my next work bonus.

Has to be the best burger I've had. And 100s of people would agree on that statement. The atmosphere is great too. It really encompasses 100% of Newtown. Bar staff and food staff are always friendly. And if you ever get a chance to go to the one north of the bridge, you'll still find the owner coming in to work behind the grill now and again. Top top top place to eat.

It's Mary's! A Newtown establishment! Except I've lived here almost 15 years and somehow have never been to the O.G. location here 😂😭 Stumbled upon it last night and fell in love. Perfect dive bar atmosphere but with so many cool aesthetic choices. Really charming and quirky. All the staff are super friendly! Didn't have a burger this time but the drinks were great. I got the Rat Poison pretty much based on the name alone 😂 Nice drink, but not sure how I felt about the squirm garnish 😉 I'll be back again soon!
