This place has one of the best locations in the Manly Beach area, with a fantastic sea view and plenty of seating. It has great potential, especially with its two levels offering different menus. We chose the upper level to enjoy the rooftop atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing, and the only reason for even giving one star is the view and location. The service was genuinely one of the worst I have experienced. For a venue in such a prime location, it was surprising how unorganised and unhelpful everything felt. The ordering process was confusing from the start. Even with an Australian number, the app did not allow us to place an order. When we asked staff for help, they simply told us to order at the counter without offering any real assistance. To make it worse, drinks and food had to be ordered from separate areas, which made the whole process unnecessarily frustrating. When the drinks were ready, a staff member spent several minutes walking around trying to find the correct table by checking numbers one by one, without any clear system. In the end, I had to raise my hand after they had been searching for quite some time just to receive our drinks. The food service was even more frustrating and poorly handled. My friend’s meal, which was the ribs, arrived first, while my wagyu steak did not arrive until around 20 minutes later. This is not acceptable for a venue of this size. My friend chose not to start her meal so we could eat together, but by the time my food finally arrived, her ribs had gone cold and were no longer enjoyable. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of communication and follow-up from staff. I had to approach multiple staff members to ask about my order. The first person said they would check but never returned. The second gave the same response and also did not come back. By the time I spoke to a third staff member, I was told that they were only just preparing my wagyu steak. This level of disorganisation and lack of accountability is extremely frustrating for customers. When my food eventually arrived, it was already cold and cooked well done, despite requesting medium. In terms of taste, it was average at best, around 3 out of 5. There was also no attention to basic service details, such as providing cutlery, offering water, or checking in to see if everything was satisfactory. The ambience and view are genuinely lovely, but unfortunately, they are not enough to make up for the extremely poor service and disappointing food experience. Overall, a very frustrating visit. With such a great location, this place has a lot of potential, but serious improvements are needed in both service and organisation.
Fantastic. Fun decor for the inside and a great cocktail bar - Bloody Marys were excellent. Food was also on point - Asian fusion alongside western favourites. That said the jewel is the outdoor terrace overlooking the beach - absolute winner to go along with a crisp beer and an even better view.
Thank you so much to Jess, Sebastian & Lauretta for making my daughter’s Hens party so special. We were let down so badly by the original venue, who on arrival despite all the emails had no record of the booking. I called Jess & on 15 mins notice said they could accommodate 16 of us for bottomless brunch. The setting was so pretty & perfect, the food was served at a great steady pace over the 2 hours & very tasty & generous. The cocktails were fab & again of generous servings. Sebastian & Lauretta were very attentive & made the whole afternoon everything we could have wished for.
went here for lunch ordered the prawn dumplings and the pork bahn mi sliders, absolute rip off 5$ per dumpling came in a soy bath gross, and 13.50 each for a slider of cold soggy pork belly on 3 day old stale bun. This is out and out theft. The chef should hang his head in shame serving this muck up at this price.
Mixed reviews for this place and I understand why. The place was near empty when we arrived. Great locations and view overlooking the beach. Lovely breeze and lots of seating. We ordered drinks which came quickly. Food was also good, although expensive. Chips was a decent serve. Chicken skewers were nice but served with a questionable watery sauce. Bao buns were lovely however the pork belly was dry. I understand what people are saying about the service but the issues stem in my very humble option from young, inexperienced and not well trained staff. For example when the food was brought out, we had to ask for plates. There was no cutlery provided so I had to get up and get our own. Which would have been okay if they told us it’s self service and the price point reflected that. So overall, good but some minor improvements would make this place awesome.
