We’ve hosted two events here and both times have been an absolute breeze. Andrew is so easy to deal with, everything is affordable, and nothing ever feels like too much trouble. They are extremely accomodating with various dietary requirements. Every time we’ve had guests comment on how good the food and drinks are, which says a lot when you’re hosting a crowd. We’ve celebrated an anniversary there and also ran a 1920s murder mystery night, and both events were a total hoot. The venue just fits any vibe you’re going for and makes hosting genuinely stress-free.

We had such a lovely breakfast at Mr Watkins! I visited with my son and we both ordered the Hollandaise brekky with smoked salmon — it was absolutely delicious. You can really taste the difference, especially knowing the hollandaise sauce is made fresh to order. It was rich, perfectly balanced, and paired beautifully with the smoked salmon. Kayla greeted us warmly and provided such amazing service throughout our visit. She was friendly, attentive and made us feel so welcome. A wonderful spot for a relaxed, quality breakfast — we’ll definitely be back! ✨

Been twice now, while visiting the area. Once for Cocktails out the back, so much to look at, and a terrific ambience for a night out. Went for a coffee, and had a Raspberry and White Chocolate Muffin, delicious, and would definitely return for a Coffee. Staff were brilliant, and friendly.

My daughters, grand daughters and I always visit this lovely little cafe when we’re in Penrith. Every single time we’ve ordered coffee it has been amazing. The same goes for the food, always lovely. The big sumptuous Chesterfield sofa’s offer an awesome respite for our weary legs after a big morning of shopping. It’s a great place to stop and unwind for a little while, especially with little ones, they enjoy the sofas and relaxing. The staff are always very nice and welcoming. I had no idea there was a dining in cafe here until my daughter told me, walking past it just looks like a little shop front coffee shop / barista, the cafe and lounge area is secluded away behind the doors 😉 Try it out, you’ll love it 🥰

I had such a wonderful experience at Mr Watkins Café in Penrith, and a big part of that was thanks to Kate. From the moment I walked in, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Her warm personality and wholesome heart made me feel valued as a customer and turned a simple café visit into something really special. Kate went above and beyond with her customer service, always smiling, attentive, and happy to help. It’s rare to come across someone who is so passionate about making people feel comfortable and appreciated. She created such a positive atmosphere and truly made my day. Thank you, Kate, for your kindness and for making my experience at Mr Watkins Café such a memorable one. The café is lucky to have you, and I can’t wait to visit again!
