Had a great meal and delicious wine at The Barrel on Norton Street in Leichhardt.. The service was so engaging and friendly. I highly recommend this bar and so good to have a nice quiet bar to relax in. We need more venues like this all along Norton St so support local business.
The Barrel Room is a great bar and BBQ restaurant in the heart of Leichhardt. On a Friday night we arrived with no booking and was seated straight away. Ordered the BBQ platter for one plus a dip platter. BBQ platter came with 4 meats, slaw and chips. Dips platter came with 4 dips plus homemade corn chips. The BBQ meats were all expertly smoked with great taste and flavour. My fav was the brisket. The dips all complimented each other. Highly recommended were our non alcoholic Herbal High Ball drinks. We really enjoyed our night at The Barrel Room. Will be back!
Great place for tap beers and food. Place was spacious and staff were friendly. Ordered their BBQ smoked meat platter. The brisket was tender, fatty and nicely seasoned. The pulled pork was surprisingly tender and fatty. The sausage had snappy skin and tender meat. Finally the chicken was juicy and tender. Really love the skin, very tasty. Also love their baked cornbread, it was creamy and buttery taste.
Great place, amazing staff, amazing food, chill atmosphere was a perfect wind down after work. We did share dishes between two, so we had the bread, lamb roast with the barrel IPA lager, spicy pork bites (which pair perfectly with the peach sour lager) and the deconstructed pumpkin pie came to $94. No pressure to rush through the meal we got to enjoy at our leisure and it made such an enjoyable experience. Staff were lovely and helpful. Highly recommend.
Worth the high praise showered on it in the reviews. Friendly welcome and service, chilled out vibes, and some excellent choices of beers, wines and cocktails. We tried a few of them, each one was excellent. The food was awesome, too. Really enjoyed the charcuterie platter and the pork belly bites. Keep the good times coming ππΈπΊ
