Went here recently and ordered the Peking duck, and it was delicious. We got the whole duck and it was great value for the portion size. The skin had really good flavour and a nice texture, and the meat itself was juicy, tender and very flavourful. It came with a sweet and sour style sauce that paired really well with the duck and balanced the richness nicely. Overall a really enjoyable dish and something I’d definitely order again.
First time shopping here. Bough a whole roasted duck and roasted pork. They chopped into a 2 small- medium containers (5cm high) and not even full. No way that you can fit in half a duck in each small box. Got home, there were no wings in both boxes, the 2 whole wings were missing, no duck breast parts in one box and only 2 small pieces in the other. Too many parts of the duck are missing. Also, the swap the roast pork, it is not the piece that I asked for. I read other customers here have same experiences.
My go-to local spot for a wide selection of Chinese roasted and poached meat, I drop by regularly for one delicious thing or another whenever I visit home. I can't claim it as my own, as my mother introduced Supreme Chinese BBQ to me, so it's really her special place. Their char siu pork, Cantonese-style roast duck and soy sauce chicken in particular are monthly mealtime mainstays at their house. Authentic, well executed and always on point both flavour and texture-wise, they are always something I look forward to. Don't sleep on the other dishes on offer though! I have made it a habit to restock my supply of chilled spicy mixed offal salad, as well as their braised beef tendon, across any period spent at home to ensure that they are permanently on hand to curb any cravings. I miss this shop whenever I am away but at least I know my parents continue to enjoy it and are bringing the friendly team some much deserved custom. It can be a bit tricky to find if you’re not familiar with Castle Mall but it’s well worth the effort. Please pay them a visit, my family and I would like this place to stick around forever!
This is the second time I am trying this shop after recently moving into the Castle Hill area. The first time was a simple roast duck on rice. It was nice but was not filling. This time round I decided to grab half a duck and some bbq pork. When I got home I discovered that I had only 2 pieces of breast meat, nearly 2/3 of the breast was missing. The drumstick was also missing parts. The whole half roast duck meal was mostly bones and ribs. What a rip off!! I came because of the 4.4 star rating but I was misled. After having this happen to me, I started reading the reviews and there are others on here that report the same issue. If you want to run a business at least be honest. Don't resort to these scummy practices to cheat the customer!
This place is seriously amazing. IYKYK roast pork is one of the hardest to master with the highest skill cap and this place has one of the best roast pork in all of Sydney. They are consistently (~8 out of 10 times) delicious with crispy crunchy skin, juicy, fatty and tender meat. (Very fatty). It's perfectly seasoned and the flavour from the pork belly is unparalleled. For comparison their roast pork is consistently better than BBQ1, J&T and wang wang in Eastwood, and just about every other place in Sydney. How? The skin is always crunchy and crispy. The meat is tender and fatty, not overcooked and hard like it always seems to be. There's no super salty bits on the bottom. Duck, chicken, bbq pork, etc. are all okay. I didn't find them too special. They did give me an insulting low amount of roast pork with rice last time so I will only go for it by weight from now on.
