Had such a lovely dinner at Bistro Kai! The restaurant has a beautiful, elegant atmosphere while still feeling warm and relaxed, making it a great spot for date nights or catching up with friends. We ordered the Beetroot Stracciatella Sourdough, Chicken Maryland, King Prawn Pasta, Jasmine Honey Mocktail and the Classic Burnt Cheesecake. Everything was beautifully presented and made with quality ingredients. The King Prawn Pasta was definitely a standout, with perfectly cooked prawns and a rich, flavourful sauce. The Burnt Cheesecake was another highlight—creamy, smooth and the perfect way to finish the meal. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the night, and the overall dining experience was fantastic. Looking forward to coming back to try their brunch menu next time!

This was my first time visiting this bistro, and the food is surprisingly amazing! Due to a minor hiccup, our food didn’t arrive for over 30 minutes, so I waved down a waitress to check if our order had been missed. I didn't expect any compensation or special gestures, but they generously offered us a free cheesecake and gelato. A couple of minutes later, they even placed two mocktails on our table and said they were on the house! Even though I wasn’t upset or in a bad mood about the long wait, their incredible attitude and quick response were outstanding. It is 100% worth a revisit. Now, back to the food. The tiger prawn pasta was absolutely spot on with its flavor—not over-seasoned at all. The risotto was also incredibly creamy and tasty. As for the cheesecake, it’s easily one of the top three cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten in Sydney. No jokes! It had a silky texture, the perfect amount of sweetness, and a very tasty caramel sauce. (When I was settling the bill, the waitress told me they add a bit of miso to the caramel, which is a stroke of genius!) The vanilla gelato, topped with lime zest, a drizzle of olive oil, and balsamic vinegar, was the perfect ending to the meal. There is no doubt that Bistro Kai is a hidden gem in Chatswood. Shout out to the kitchen chef and our incredibly kind waitress. 100% recommended!

Such a fantastic dinner at Kai! The steak and grilled fish were cooked to perfection, and the chocolate brownie dessert was a brilliant finish to our meal. What stood out most was their fantastic wine and creative cocktails. The moody warm lighting makes for a lovely dining atmosphere, and service was great. Definitely coming back again.

It was my first time visiting Sydney, and a friend recommended this place to me. The food was really delicious. We came as a group of four with a child, and sitting outside was very comfortable. The pasta was especially amazing—I highly recommend it! I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes next time I’m in Sydney.

this place is a standout. from starters to the mains, every dish tastes thoughtfully crafted. the staff is welcoming and serves really efficient. the space is very aesthetic which I love!! it feels modern and comfortable. definitely a must-try when you are in chatswood
