Recently visited this cafe and overall had a pleasant experience, but there were a few ups and downs. The Summer Breeze drink wasn’t what I expected and tasted a bit strange rather than refreshing. However, the coffee was excellent. The sweet potato fries were super crunchy and delicious, and the chicken dishes were flavourful, though the portion sizes felt a little small for the price. The vegetarian options were disappointing. The mezze pasta tasted more like a curry than a pasta dish, which really didn’t work for me. Overall, it’s a nice cafe with some standout items, but it does feel a bit expensive and probably isn’t the best choice for vegetarians at lunch.
We visited Blu Eatery with long-time patrons of this establishment, and it’s easy to see why they keep returning. Located in the courtyard area of Hornsby Westfield, the restaurant offers a relaxed and pleasant setting away from the bustle of the shopping centre. Blu Eatery continues to be a consistent provider of quality food, with a reliable menu that delivers well-prepared, flavoursome dishes. While prices do seem to have risen, that unfortunately reflects the times rather than the venue itself. There was a small glitch with one of our dishes, but it was handled promptly and with genuine grace, which speaks volumes about the service and professionalism of the staff. Overall, Blu Eatery remains a solid and dependable choice, and it is certainly well worth returning to for another visit.
NEVER ORDER the Eggs Benedict here again ❌🚫 It was served on brioche bread, which turned into a mushy, soggy mess. I ended up just eating the mushrooms and eggs on top. However, the Brekkie Taco was delicious and full of flavor. 🌮👌
Nothing wrong with a simple Caesar salad and a glass of lemonade. The salad was great, nothing to complain about. was a bit loud in the outdoor seating area but hey, its lunch time. Service was also great, ⭐️ to the waiter.
We were 8 pax in our group and we had lunch here on Saturday 18th July. One of my friends suggested this restaurant as she enjoyed the food here. None of the others in our group had been here before. 2 drove from the Central Coast, 1 from the Blue Mountains, 2 from Moss Vale and the rest including me from Parramatta. The food was good. Having said that, I don't think I'd order the Farfalle again because the pesto sauce was way too overpowering & caused indigestion for me. I would definitely prefer trying the soup, salads or the seafood linguine next time. So my fault for selecting this dish. The rest of the food at our table looked delicious and my lunch companions all confirmed this. The service though was impeccable and attentive despite the place being busy. The atmosphere is not great to have good conversations as the place is extremely busy & therefore noisy. So be prepared to talk louder than usual. The staff are excellent though and did an absolutely fantastic job. We were celebrating 4 birthdays, so they also brought the cake out and sang for us. Just magnificent of them. Thank you so very much. I would definitely return here.
