I had high hopes for Burger Galaxy. We've wanted a decent burger shop at this end of Norton Street for ages, so I was keen to try it. I ordered the Moon Burger, a beef burger, and there were things I liked. The sauces were really nice, the pickles were good, and the onion was well done. The bun was okay. The problem is the patty, and for a burger that's the thing that matters most. It was really disappointing. Thin and small, maybe 160g if that. It was either cooked from frozen and not done well, or just so thin that it dried out. The mince quality and whatever is mixed into it also seem off. It was rubbery once you bit into it, which makes me think there's bread filler in there. You can see that in the photos. There was barely any caramelisation on the outside, so it wasn't a smash-style burger, but it wasn't juicy either. It was a dry, rubbery puck of beef and filler. Honestly it was worse than what I'd make at home, worse than the pub across the road, and worse than the burger shop around the corner. A burger can only be as good as its patty, and this one let the whole thing down. Might I make A few suggestions? Make the patties thicker, and use fresher mince or at least less filler. If they're going to stay this small, put two on there. And if you're cooking them from frozen, they aren't going to come out juicy and pink, so they need to be properly caramelised like a smash burger. If you're not going to caramelise them, then they need to be nice and juicy inside. Right now it's neither. I don't know if they're cutting corners on beef to keep costs down, or if they think this is how it should be, or maybe I'm out of touch. Either way, I really hope they rethink the patty, because everything else around it was actually good. Service was fine: a bit weird/confusing having to enter in past the cafe and the burger guy stands up to say hi. Perhaps need an 'order burgers here" sign? Atmosphere is probably good for kids ,but lacking until they get enough local interest, which probably comes from better burgers. Midday on a weekend, dead.

I tried the Mercury burger (vegetarian). I swapped the egg for mushrooms and had truffle sauce and spicy mayo instead of sriracha. It was really delicious and fresh!

The chips are great and have large servings. You would have thought with the combo there would be less chips but I was surprised. Also the earth burger was exceptional good with its bacon and caramelised onions. The price was a bit step. But overall great experience and food.
