I ordered the special, the Beef Bowl, a small flat-white coffee, and a slice of carrot cake. The friendly staff efficiently took my order. There is plenty of seating inside the venue, as well as undercover seating outside. The coffee arrived first, along with the carrot cake, which I saved for after the main. The coffee was nice and hot, well prepared with a smooth and creamy texture. One of the best cups of coffee I've had recently. The Beef Bowl, while looking rather plain, was actually quite delicious. The beef was hot and tender, and had been paired with a sauce or marinade to enhance its flavour. The brown rice was nice and fluffy, the cucumber slices were fresh and crisp, the tomato had a nice flavour to it. The entire dish was unexpectedly satisfying. The carrot cake tasted nice and fresh, and was moist.

Cafe Florence is located in the open piazza at Hornsby, just minutes from the station and near one of the entrances to Westfield Hornsby. For Saturday morning breakfast I ordered the light breakfast, which was sadly light in quality. It consisted of a hashbrown, sauteed mushrooms, and admittedly it's hard to go wrong with either of these, but the grilled tomato while still warm was barely grilled at all. The scrambled eggs were satisfactory, but no better than if they were home made. The two slices of toasted turkish bread were okay too, but I must remember to ask for no butter. Some cafes serve butter on the side, but it's become apparent this cannot be assumed.

Arrived there with some disabled people to get a coffee. I bought a coffee and the lady behind the counter told me to leave the empty outdoor seated area ( it was raining) as one of my party had taken out their food to eat. She then came outside and aggressively told us to get out! No one else was going to sit down in this weather outside. Have never before been treated this way and neither have my disabled friends. Coffee was bad too… just saying.

Been there today, The server was awful 😞, so sympathy no humbleness just rude and loud. I was supporting a disabled participant, I was buying coffee myself and supporting my participant who was in a wheelchair to have his food. We sat outside of cafe which was clear empty, and she asked me to leave because I was with a person who are different from us. So sad for the mindset.

Terrible service asked for black coffee with cream tried to tell me I only asked for black coffee. Gave me whipped cream said they don't have cream in a cafe. The Chinese lady was the rudest server I've ever experienced.
