We love this cafe! Good food, really good coffee (thank you Emily!) and Robert always welcomes us with a warm "hello" and always, always, always has a smile and time for a quick chat. Some people are seemingly born to be in hospitality, and Robert is one of those people. There's plenty of cafes in Alexandria churning out really good food and coffee, but few, if any are serving up up hospitality as warm and as friendly as you get from Rob and his girls at Canteen Verte. We've been going to Rob's cafe for about 10 years, so we know this gorgeous little cafe (and Robert) very well indeed. Get the scrambled eggs - they're absolutely gorgeous!

I have been eating lunch at Cantine Verte regularly for over 10 years now. It is our “go to” cafe for making our tummies happy. The food is always freshly prepared with a focus on healthy eating. Plus There are daily specials that add even more pleasure for the taste buds. The owner and staff have become like family and can tailor dishes to suit dietary needs. Definitely worth visiting for the best coffee, breakfast and lunch.

Been coming here for over 7 years. Best cafe in Alexandria! Coffee consistently good and food always fresh with lots of options.
