I ordered the Loaded Taco through Uber. The generous serving of prawns, presentation and packaging were all good, but unfortunately the taco itself was disappointing. There was barely any pineapple salsa, despite it being mentioned in the description, and the chipotle mayo completely overpowered the other ingredients. Overall, the flavours and textures lacked balance. Perhaps I was just unlucky with this particular order.
My husband and I had a late breakfast on Saturday and even though the service was friendly, they were quite slow and messed up my husband’s coffee order… but their Bacon and Egg Roll is delicious and very generous..! Highly recommend the B&E roll for a big appetite 😊
What a fantastic breakfast experience. My wife ordered the warm coconut porridge bowl with fruit, which was the perfect comfort food on a cold Sydney morning. It was beautifully presented, full of flavour and exactly what she was hoping for. I had the bacon and egg roll, and it exceeded expectations. The serving size was generous, with multiple layers of bacon and a great balance of textures. It included silverbeet, which isn't normally something I'd choose, but it worked brilliantly here. It soaked up the runny yolk and added a rich, savoury depth that really elevated the dish. The coffee was excellent too. What impressed us most, however, was the service. We ordered a second round of drinks, but as the café became busier and we needed to leave, we asked whether the order could be cancelled. The staff were incredibly apologetic despite the situation being completely understandable. Their genuine desire to make sure we had a great experience showed just how high their standards are. Great food, great coffee and exceptional service. We'd happily return next time we're in North Sydney.
Came here on a rainy winter morning and the place wasn’t busy as we got here at 8 something. There’s plenty of seating and we were then quickly seated. The server was polite and attentive enough to give us menus and asked us if we’d like anything to drink. As we were waiting for other friends to turn up we said no to food or drink order even though the server had asked a few times. Found it a bit pushy to ask us to order something. I went ahead and ordered a mocha for myself. As for the items on the menu the food and drinks looked pretty standard. My friends had avocado toast and bacon and egg rolls. They both tasted good and the portion was decent. My friends couldn’t finish them and they shared some with me. Overall I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of the place. It’s nice and clean. Would love to drop by next time to try their brekkies if i happened to visit my friend again.
I don’t usually leave bad reviews but thought I’d give some constructive criticism .. first of all the beef brisket toastie was strange, tasted more like pork and the consistency was off. The halloumi needs to be washed more as it still tasted quite salty. The texture of the bagels were quite tough like toast. I had ordered an iced mocha and she brought my drink out to me, I did not like it AT ALL and just sipped on it a little to not be rude and then 15 minutes later she comes back with 2 drinks in her hands and says she has my iced mocha and I told her she already gave it. And she said no, that’s their drink (and points at the table next to us) and turns back to them to say sorry and then looks at the drink on my table and says whatever just keep it and walks off .. no apology to me either and makes it seem like it’s my fault for accepting the drink she gave me that looked like an iced mocha ???? The service needs some work obviously. Other than those negatives, it looks like a nice cafe and nice vibe. I would suggest turning off the fans when it’s a cold winters morning.
