Had a great experience at Dirty Red in Glebe. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with a relaxed neighborhood vibe that's perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a casual meal and drinks. The food was delicious, well-presented, and full of flavor. The drinks menu offered a good variety, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that there were a few small delays during service, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. Overall, Dirty Red is a fantastic local spot with great food, good drinks, and a lively atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Glebe.
I was at Dirty Red recently and had an overall average experience. The food was actually pretty good, the mushroom on toast was nice and so was the quinoa bowl. Both tasted fresh and well priced. The staff who greet us at the door was polite and effective, he attended to us quickly and found a table where we would like to be seated. The service once we were seated was okay but nothing particularly memorable, orders were taken over an app so there was minimal interactions with the wait staff. One of them however did make sure we were happy to use the app to order. The atmosphere was pleasant enough for a casual stop, but the overall experience didn’t really stand out compared to other cafes in the surrounding area. That said, the food was solid. Overall, I’d consider coming back if I was nearby and looking for a quick bite.
I was so pleased that their matcha tastes as good as the cafe looks. In an over saturated market, I’ve found most matcha menus leave something to be desired. Not this one, however. The coconut matcha with homemade coconut vanilla cream was so good, in fact, that I had to immediately write this review. I’ve never felt so passionate about a drink. Not to mention, staff are exceptionally charismatic and warm, which left me eager to dine in next time. I spied a stunning courtyard which I know will be the first place I’ll find myself at next weekend. I can’t wait to come back and explore the surrounding Glebe shops the next time
In an age where cafes love to place the customer on the forefront of battle, I appreciated Dirty Red’s work offering my friend and I a place at the lookout — the courtyard was so private and quaint, I was rewarded by hearing every word come out of my friend’s mouth. Thank you for your service! As for the food, I feel replenished however I DID surrender $39 total for a goodness bowl and orange juice. Mind you, I also had to add in my own source of protein so do keep that in mind. So yeah, I was moderately satisfied with the feast however guilty I felt ordering that extra drink on top of the bill. The service was fly and I’m glad to get familiar with what I could only assume is a fan favourite of Sydney’s inner west.
Visited this cafe for breakfast today with some friends. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and coffee. Great service. Great coffee. Beautiful courtyard out the back. The food was very fresh and well presented. We were all impressed with the menu. I loved that the yoghurt wasn’t artificially sweet. Will definitely return!
