One of Pyrmont’s best kept secret at The Star Harbourside. Their Italian-inspired sandwiches are perfect for breakfast or lunch. The handmade dough is baked into delicious firebread, every sandwich is generously filled with fresh, flavourful ingredients. My breakfast favourites are the Rise & Chook and Bacon & Eggs. For something heartier, you can’t go wrong with the Pizzino Spicy Salami or Hot Honey Havoc. They also serve Ozzo all day, so be sure to try the Hellenic Hype, packed with za’atar chicken, or the American Meltdown, made with tender, slow-cooked roast beef. Everything was fresh, satisfying, and full of flavour. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

There are cafes with views and then there are cafes that make you forget to look up because the food is that good. Eat Ozzo Pyrmont has 270 degrees of harbour wrapping around you and honestly, the thing that stayed with me was the food. Fresh, considered, genuinely delicious. The coffee is excellent. And the service has that warm, unhurried quality that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit…which in my experience is actually quite rare. In a spot that could easily coast on the scenery, they clearly have no interest in doing that. You can taste the commitment to quality in everything they put in front of you. Highly recommend.

Pretty low key for dinner - easy and quick. I wasn’t very impressed with the veg options as they were just falling apart due to too much oil. It was a convenient spot for if you are catching a show in the Sydney Lyric Theatre.

Eat Ozzo Pyrmont may be the best pizza/sandwich/bowl place in Sydney. This restaurant is located next to The Star Sydney (specifically their 3D sign on Pirrama Road). Food We ordered 1 Spicy Salami and 1 Margherita Madness (requested with no cheese). For "dessert" we ordered 1 Cheese Bread and 1 Za'atar Bread. Taste The Spicy Salami is absolute heaven in a bite. The woodfired dough made with just flour, water and salt is slow fermented for 48 hours. The dough was chewy, the gluten structure was built perfectly. The tomato sauce is made of San Marzano tomatoes; that translates to the best sauce in the market that pizzerias in Italy use religiously. The cheese is a premium Vanella's Mozzarella that is absolutely mouthwatering and gives the best cheese stretch for photos. The Salami Calabrese gives the ultimate yet subtle kick of picante flavour. On top is a drizzle of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) that ties everything together perfectly. The Cheese Bread is a masterpiece. A blisteringly hot and fresh piece of woodfired dough cut into a pocket that is stuffed with chilled Vanella's Stracciatella and EVOO. It is then garnished with sea salt flakes. So simple, yet so perfectly mouthwatering. All of this quality absolutely shows because that was a bite of Italy right there and then. Service The staff were extremely kind and helpful with allergies. Every interaction we had with the staff, they had a smile on their faces. Final Thoughts This is a hidden gem in the middle of Central Sydney. I would recommend everyone in the area or even on the other side of the world to try this place. You won't regret it.
