Ordered the batch coffee and the mushroom toast at Flower Child Cafe. Batch coffee - fruity aroma of the coffee hit me the first thing when it arrived at the table. Took my first sip with the batch coffee and found that the taste was relative bitter for that batch. Would be nice if it was balanced with more acidity favour than pure bitter for that batch coffee. Mushroom Toast - nice truffle smell upon serving as well. Taste of the dish was great as well. I could taste the truffle throughout the consumption of the toast and I liked it. Toast was done just right. Staffs were friendly and great atmosphere for self treat or for catch up with friends and family.
My friend held her birthday lunch here and it was well organized and managed by the staff. The staff quickly asked for our orders and gave us a gentle reminder that it would take some time as our group is a tad big. Honestly all the food and drinks on their menu looked interesting to me. In the end, I ordered iced matcha and chili crab with scrambled eggs. I got my iced matcha pretty quick and I loved the strong flavor of matcha. My chili crab with scrambled eggs took a while to come but I was happy to see my food. The portion was a tad huge for me, also the chili was quite spicy too. Though, I loved how the scrambled eggs were well complemented with the crab meats and condiments. I expected the crab to be a whole crab though. We also had shoestring fries and sweet potato fries for sharing and they were very crunchy and flavorful to my liking. I had my stomach very full for the day. The staff were very kind and considerate for taking our photos and even asked if we needed anything else before they closed their order. We hanged for a bit more before we called it a day. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience here and would love to come back again to try more items on their menu.
I ordered an oat milk flat white and it was really nice. It was my first time trying oat milk coffee and the flavour was smooth and surprisingly easy to enjoy. The staff were friendly too, which made the visit feel even better. The cafe has a lovely vibe and it’s a comfortable spot to relax for a moment. I’d happily come back for another coffee.
Delicious Food Worth Returning For! Came in after the rush hour. The service was a little slow, but the food was excellent. The prawn toast with salad is a unique dish you don't see often and is definitely worth trying! The Wagyu beef burger with chips was also delicious and perfectly cooked. There are several other items on the menu I’d love to try, so I’ll definitely be back for another visit.
Amazing food, the dishes have mutliple levels of flavour, where in other brunches I've gone to, they could've been made super plain and boring. For example we ordered the bacon and egg burger, which sounds simple but they've added maple to marinate the bacon, additional seasoning to the perfectly cooked scrambled egg to make it not as simple and 'default'. Smashed avo was made not only very photogenic but also very complex in flavour as well. The service was top-notch, we were greeted and led to our seats by their friendly staff and were taken care of the entire time as soon as we needed service.
