Visited Lumina Cafe recently and had a pretty nice experience overall. The cafe has a bright and clean vibe, perfect for a casual brunch or catching up with friends. The menu is quite classic, so there’s something for everyone. Coffee was decent and the food was nicely presented. Service was friendly and relaxed, nothing too formal but welcoming enough. Overall, it’s a great destination to stay if you’re around Macquarie Centre or Castle Tower and want something easy, comfortable and slightly relaxing and taste. Would come back for a casual brunch 👍
Ordered the breakfast wrap and the spaghetti Gamberi. Breakfast wrap was lacking Tomato Relish for one side of the wrap which made the wrap rather bland in taste. For the side with the tomato relish, it tasted better but sauce was definitely much lesser than before. I didn't taste the Spaghetti Gamberi, so will not comment here but will put a photo here for reference. Skim flat white tasted ok but nice coffee art.
这是一段自然真实感的五星好评: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hands down one of my favourite cafes in Macquarie! Came here for a late lunch and honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed. The crab meat rice was incredible — perfectly seasoned, generous with the crab, and the texture of the rice was spot on. Not your average café rice dish at all. The pasta was another highlight. Silky, well-balanced sauce, cooked to the right consistency — felt like something you’d get at a proper Italian restaurant, not a café. And don’t even get me started on the toast/petit fours 🍞✨ — we almost ordered a second round. Light, crispy, and just the right amount of indulgent. The space is cute, service was friendly and attentive, and the whole vibe made us want to linger. Will 100% be back with friends. Highly recommend if you’re around Macquarie Centre!
If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is terrible. The customer service is shocking. Very rude and unpleasant staff to deal with every single time. Today we had the worst experience. Between 3 adults and 3 children we spent over $200 and one of the sandwiches we ordered came out looking embarrassing. They had a small piece of halloumi between 2 stick slices of sourdough bread. I will post the picture below. We showed a staff member and all we got was an eye roll and attitude!! Very disgusting! No apology and they asked us to pay extra for more halloumi and walked off. They didn’t even butter the bread. I definitely won’t be coming back here again nor will I recommend this cafe to anyone!! Get better staff who act like they want to be at work and at least make the food worth what you’re charging!!
Absolutely loved my brunch here this weekend—this spot’s now my new go-to! The food was incredible! The vibe is so warm and the staff greeted me with big smiles, and my latte came out fast and perfectly frothy. If you’re craving a relaxed, delicious brunch that hits all the right notes, don’t miss this place. Already planning my next visit to try their eggs Benedict! 10/10 recommend.
