I popped into this café this morning. Coffee was pretty good, your standard decent brew, and the service was lovely. Heaps of options for food and drinks too, and it’s a nice spot to sit. Only downside was the Portuguese custard tart had a bit of a salmon taste to it, probably from using the same chopping board for everything. Bit off-putting, to be honest. Otherwise, solid place with good vibes—just needs to sort that out.
Coastal vibes meet authentic Brazilian soul! The Prato Feito is a standout—a hearty, comforting mix of black beans, fluffy rice, and savory protein that tastes like a home-cooked meal in Brazil. The Pastel de Queijo (cheese empanadas) are perfectly crispy on the outside with a gooey, melted center, and the Bolinho de Bacalhau are golden-brown perfection. The coffee was excellent too. I would say that the restaurant is a bit pricey though. Fresh flavors, a relaxed atmosphere, and great views make this a must-visit spot in Coogee. Highly recommended!
Good food and plenty of choices to empty a variety of pallets! Coffee (double shot, large fw) was good (not amazing but good - I like it a bit stronger). We chose the breakfast burger and the but breakfast. Both were tasty and filling. Would have chosen something sweet to finish with but we just missed out as a large queque of runners formed before we could decide). Overall thumbs up and a good treat after the 6 km coastal walk.
We come to Morning Glory Cafe all the time, so this was a bit of a letdown. Flat white was way too milky — more like a latte, barely any coffee taste. Had to get an extra shot. Also asked for a cheese & tomato toastie with no ham, but it came with ham and no tomato at all.
I love this cafe. The location is second the none and the staff and owner are so lovely and accommodating. Very nice vibe. Best part is that they always make my tea strong, just how I like it. Food is quality too.
