Thouroughly enjoyed a late lunch at Nulla Nulla. It is comforting to know that one will not have to rush a meal because the kitchen is closing. Big call, but the beef burger rivalled that of the Hann River roadhouse up on Cape York. Simple, with the freshest of key ingredients and a no-frills tasty sauce of a classic burger and some delicious crispy fries on the side. The other half raved about the Schnitzel with a Mexican twist. All the staff with whom we interacted were happy and helpful. An aside is that many years ago, and probably several changes in owners/managers, we had a poor experience and really did not give it another go. Very glad we did just recently.

Catching up with a bestie, we were undecided all week. So we ended up walking the esplanade for a while and walked back through the mall.. our intentions after walking was to get takeaway and possibly eat on the beach. Anyway we decided we’d eat in at Nulla Nulla. Been a shire local forever but never been here. Well it did not disappoint. I opted for the chicken avocado salad which was amazing, bestie got the chicken snitz which was on par with the best. So overall a very pleasant experience. Staff were also friendly and did not rush us out door either. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Definitely recommend if going past. They also cater for gluten free and allergies. The drinks were also reasonable

Sadly, this visit was quite disappointing compared to our previous experience. We had come before and genuinely loved the food, which made this visit even more surprising. We ordered the salt and pepper squid, but it was extremely salty to the point where it was difficult to eat. We found ourselves needing water after almost every bite. The pasta bosciola was served cold, and the sauce was quite runny. A creamy pasta really needs to be warm to be enjoyable, so this was disappointing. We also tried the avocado and feta on sourdough, which was very cold and had very little feta. Overall, the food didn’t taste fresh, and the quality felt below what we experienced before. Food quality should be consistent for a restaurant to deliver a good overall experience, and unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for us. Unfortunately, this visit just wasn’t enjoyable, and it’s made us unsure about returning.

Great brunch spot!! The mushroom + ricotta dish was delicious though could’ve used more tomatoes. Pancakes were a nice sweet dish too. Loved everything :)

The big breakfast and pancakes were decent, nothing special. The service was also average. Overall, an okay experience.
