I’ve had the best Vietnamese beef salad here — absolutely delicious! 🤤 I genuinely love this coffee shop in Lane Cove. To be honest, I’ve tried most places around, but Old Quarter is definitely my favourite. You can really taste the difference — they use such high-quality ingredients. And Bow is the best! He’s so friendly, always smiling, and makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend Old Quarter Café — you won’t be disappointed!
This Vietnamese café is a wonderful spot that blends comforting traditional flavours with a modern Australian breakfast menu. The pho is a real highlight, deeply aromatic broth, well-balanced seasoning, and generous portions that feel both nourishing and authentic. It’s the kind of pho you’d happily come back for on a cool morning or any time you’re craving something warming. What makes this café stand out is its versatility. Alongside the Vietnamese classics, the modern Australian breakfast options are equally well done, with fresh ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and flavours that feel contemporary without being overcomplicated. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty bowl of pho or a classic brunch dish with a twist, this place delivers on both fronts. Friendly service, a relaxed café atmosphere, and consistently good food make this a great local favourite for breakfast or brunch.
Large and spacious. Very well located. Gentle summer breeze is coming through the doors. The music is modern and low volume. Peaceful and vibrant atmosphere. TV (Netflix?). No sound. Most importantly, polite service, with a smile, very quick tea turn around (hot as well). Generous portions. The other customers lunch looks lovely with rice and fresh greens. Definitely would be happy to return.
Coffee is great! Really enjoyed that. Açai bowl needs improvement. No balance of toppings and no banana as per menu. It looked like they put cereal on it, instead of toasted muesli. A few updates to the toppings, and then it will be worth the price.
My first visit, had trouble choosing from the lovely all day menu, with all the western brunches, some Asian and fusion options. Ended up eating from the gourmet sandwiches section and chose a well prepared and presented Vietnamese roll. Loved all the drinks options here to and steered away from my usual coffee for a Custard coconut coffee instead. It was really good, as was the friendly attentive service. The Old Quarter Cafe is also spacious, and comfortable. Definitely going back to try some brunch options.
