Red Leaf Café is an absolute gem in Double Bay! Located just a short walk from Double Bay Wharf, it's the perfect spot to stop before or after spending time by the water. The beach is right nearby, along with public showers and toilets, making it incredibly convenient for anyone going for a swim or simply enjoying a relaxing day outdoors. The café serves excellent coffee, and the almond croissant is an absolute must-try fresh, flaky, buttery, and simply delicious. Whether you're in the mood for a hot coffee on a cool morning or a refreshing smoothie after a dip in the water, they've got you covered. One of the things I loved most was the atmosphere. The surrounding walls are beautifully decorated with colourful hand-painted murals that give the place a uniquely Aussie coastal vibe. Combined with the magnificent water views and plenty of seating to relax and unwind, it creates the perfect setting to slow down and enjoy the moment. Whether you're catching the ferry, heading to the beach, or just exploring Double Bay, Red Leaf Café is definitely worth a visit. Great coffee, delicious food, stunning views, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The only thing we would suggest to make it even better place is more relaxing seating arrangements, though that is not a mood spoiler.
A fabulous spot for breakfast or brunch. I had the best scrambled eggs here. The view is incredible. It does get very busy though. Friendly staff. Access can be challenging for those with mobility issues. There is a steep multilevel stair access on one side, or you can walk through the gardens and down a ramp. Beautiful harbour beachside location.
This is a good place to chill if you want to avoid the sun. The tables are comfortable for small work tasks, but there are no charging outlets.
The chicken sandwich was super fresh and tasty, and the service was really quick. The staff were also very kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. I tried the tropical frappe and it was just perfect for a hot day, refreshing and delicious! Plus, the café is right in front of the beach, so it’s the perfect spot to enjoy good food with an amazing view.
Absolutely delicious food for very reasonable prices! The smoothies are just as amazing! The service was the best part, incredibly friendly and considerate, even letting us order a few minutes before close! Couldn’t recommend more.
