Not familiar with breakfast places in The Rocks but had to choose one for catch up with friends. FFS had great reviews and the menu looked good too so decided to go here and it did not disappoint. Tucked away from the hustle of cruise ship passengers and tourists in a quiet lane, FFS is a relaxed place. It was busy when I arrived at 10am on a Sunday but there were seats to wait and have a coffee. Staff were super helpful and lovely. The menu has a great range of breakfast and lunch options. We loved the beetroot taste, the ham and cheese sandwich and the loaded breakfast panini. Coffee was good too. Would definitely come back.
Unfortunately our experience here was not great. Breakfast took an hour from time of payment. Our coffees arrived 15 minutes apart. The long black was really bad (5/10) - I drank a few sips then left the rest. The almond flat white my partner had was also mediocre. When the breakfast did arrive the avo on toast with extra poached eggs and bacon was superb. The fact that it was Sunday was no excuse as there was the usual surcharge, plus a surcharge for using a credit card.

The restaurant is very clean with a great atmosphere. The staff are lovely and provide excellent service. The food is delicious, and I especially love the desserts. This is definitely one of the places that impressed me, and I will certainly come back again.
We chose The Fine Food Store at The Rocks for a family breakfast. Tucked in amongst the historic buildings in The Rocks area, it is a real treat. Plenty of choice for a top breakfast to satisfy any palate. Each of the selections at our table were at a good price too! Service was exemplary. The range of drinks, smoothies and other beverages was extensive. Highly recommended.
