Atmosphere wasn’t bad, but the food was honestly really really terrible 😢 The quality was very poor. It’s $20. The bread was already extremely dry and cold — I could barely bite into it because it was rock hard. It looked like they toasted bread yesterday and reheated today . I ended up having just 2 poached eggs which means I paid $20 for just 2eggs. So disappointing. Will never go there again.

This cafe has been around for a while at Macquarie centre. Nicely located on the top floor with inside store as well as generous outside covered seating. While sitting inside is noticeably quiet, it's not that noisy outside. I believe it's under new management not long ago. Lovely menu options including breakfast, lunch and specials. You have to order at the counter and pay before taking your seating. Orders are delivered promptly to your table. Food is delicious and nicely presented. Choice of beverages available. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of free 3hr parking available at the mall.

I first came to the Loft over 10 years ago. I used to bring my mother. She loved the sunlight and the open space. She also loved the Seafood Pasta and white coffee. We had some great memories there. Now, I come on my own but have been lucky to make new friends or just have a chat with someone at the next table. The atmosphere is always friendly and conducive to meeting new people. But the one thing that brings us all back is the magnificent food and friendly staff. Over the years I've met many of the staff and even been fortunate enough to sit down with the original owner and her family that have continued the business. I've tried many dishes now. The latest ones are the Chicken bowl, eggs Benny, the pasta, vege omelette, just to name a few. Recently I've also finished off with a mango frappe. Very refreshing. Have to sign off now. I hope I might run into you down there one day. M.

Overall the food is ok. Coffee is great, I like the beef wrap. However the mini cup cake is a bit disappointing, not fresh and it is hard and dry.

The only good thing was the bagel. The pasta was overly salty, and the coffee was quite watery. Although there were plenty of staff in the restaurant, they seemed to prefer chatting with each other rather than providing service. The plating of the dishes also definitely needs improvement!
