Shakshuka was delicious, perfectly cooked and flavour popped with every mouthful! Paired with a piccolo latte it was a premium breakfast at an affordable price. Then as if it couldn't get better, the friendly service and warm hospitality just made it feels like home away from home. Keep up the great work!
Was looking for bacon and eggs on a recent business trip. As I entered the establishment, I was greeted by a polite gentleman making coffee behind the counter, who prompted me to find a table. A waitress soon followed and as she approached, smiled and handed me a menu. I stated that I wanted bacon and eggs, hash brown, sausage, tomato and toast. I was informed that I could only order what was on the menu, (which was scrambled eggs on sourdough) as it was the weekend and there was only one chef on site. I confirmed that they would not accommodate my request again by stating that I wanted bacon and fried eggs to be informed again that it is not an option. I ended up ordering the scrambled eggs on sourdough, and adding bacon, and hash browns, which came to $35. The meal was very nice. However, I was taken aback by an establishment that declines to offer a customer something that realistically would have taken the same amount of time to make, with the same ingredients. In summary: service wise I had a very positive experience, but the lack of hospitality when it came to flexibility was a dampening factor. The cafe has a lovely ambiance; is very central to St Leonards Station, and the service is good. I do recommend on these traits, however, If you would like to have another go at accommodating my request, I would like to return so I can unreservedly recommend, and provide a rating which is commensurate with the good service I received.
Disappointing. Bought a large coffee and could feel the ‘light’ cup when she passed it over, a nice 4 cm of froth. No sip taken. Heated muffin also cold in middle. Not hard.
Breakfast was delicious! Great service and comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend!
We used Moody Chef to cater for a company course and had a fantastic experience. George was easy and flexible to work with, making the whole process smooth from start to finish. The food was high quality, fresh, and really tasty — and the desserts were a standout! They were also very accommodating with dietary requirements, which made organising for a group much easier. A big bonus is their charity initiative, where leftover food is made available through their app for people to collect — such a great concept. Highly recommend Moody Chef for events!
