Truly amazing cafe ... great staff great food this cafe has become a second home. Coffee is always good and the meals never fail to impress ... sorry for the half eaten pic I couldn't wait :)

Great brunch, with great coffee, in Crows Nest. Consistently good quality and friendly service. Great for a weekend brunch or before work. Quick service even when busy, which it does get during peak times.

My wife and I went for a long walk on Friday morning, and decided to walk to The Wooden Whisk Cafe for breakfast. The normally busy cafe had just 2 tables available at 10.30 am. We sat at the back and found we were not far from the toilet door. We had been to the cafe for coffees on a previous visit and had viewed the menu. We had decided that we would both order the Brioche French Toast which consisted of 2 thick slices of toasted brioche soaked in egg and fried, placed on a plate covered with Strawberry coulis, accompanied on top with mascarpone cream, sliced strawberries, sliced banana, Strawberry yoghurt between the slices, a leaf garnish, and a generous pot each, of toffee maple syrup. We both only used half of the maple syrup which absolutely smothered both slices of French toast. It seemed to take a long time to get our meal, but it was definitely worth the wait, it was so delicious. My wife drank a pot of delicious, Sticky Chai with Almond milk (made 2.5 cups) and I had a well made, soy cappuccino. Cost about $65, all up. Staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast here is highly recommended,

The Wooden Whisk is a true gem in Crows Nest. The coffee is consistently excellent, and the breakfast menu is full of standouts. I especially recommend the Phoenix Eggs Benedict, eggs your way, and the hearty Breaky Stack, each dish is beautifully prepared. Service is absolutely first‑class. The waitress greets you with a genuine smile every time and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. It’s that combination of great food, great coffee, and warm hospitality that keeps me coming back. On a side note, I used to get iced coffee but can't justify the price of a iced long black at $7.90...

We had brunch here on a Sunday and can vouch for their food! We tried the chilli kale salad with haloumi and some other dishes, and were pleasantly impressed by the quality and presentation. I love it when the haloumi is not too salty. The single-o iced oat latte was great as well.
