I stopped by Two Chaps in Marrickville for breakfast on Sunday morning and it was a great way to start the day. The coffee was simply excellent, easily the standout for me. Big shout out to the barista, you can tell they know what they’re doing. Smooth, well balanced and just done right. Service comes with a genuine smile, which always makes a difference. The menu leans heavily vegan, so if you’re someone who loves a classic bacon and eggs style breakfast, this might not be your go to. But the food is fresh, thoughtful and beautifully put together. They also bake on site and the pastry cabinet is honestly stunning. Fresh breads and pastries made in house, and you can taste the difference. Definitely worth a visit, especially if good coffee is non negotiable for you.

I had a very good breakfast. The staff were very friendly and attentive, asking if I needed anything else at the end. The interesting thing about this place is that it makes its own pastries and sourdough bread. The croissant is well made, but it's very buttery inside, so if you don't like this style, you might find it a bit heavy to eat. The broccoli and cauliflower pastry was a pleasant surprise, with a very good balance of flavours. It was also a bit too buttery, but that seems to be the style of the lamination. The raspberry brioche is moist and very fresh, well done. Overall, it was a good experience, coffee included. The atmosphere is pleasant with an open kitchen, which I really like, and a good ventilation system (important in the summer heat). It's a good place to enjoy coffee and homemade treats. At a time when cafés buy their pastries from other companies, it's important to appreciate and support these initiatives of in-house production. Come and try their pastries and you'll see the difference in quality.

sourdough crumpets absolutely unreal. phenomenal flavour situation going on. love love love the food and pastries/retail bits and bobs. service pretty hands off and food took a while to come out but it was worth the wait in the end

Hygiene Issue & Abysmal Service The service was terrible (especially the manager/senior lady) which behaves like a karen. Kept chasing me away while waiting. There were no waiting area or chairs for me to seat down. Worst still, I was told to help myself to get the water & napkins. She even slides my immune drinks which you can see on the table (refer to photo). I was discriminated where other tables/patrons were served water. The food is mediocre and there are flies flying around the pastries. There are lack of hygiene on the cups and cracked bottle for the water. I would not consider going to this place & urged you to be careful when eating at this place.

Very loveley cafe. Had the vegan summer toast 10/10 with the Tumeric Late 10/10. My mother had 2 cuppacinnos from the coffee expert Jackie. Also thank you to the lovely service from Bibiana and Holly. From Rose and Mary 😇
