Super authentic HK diner in Sydney! Value is pretty decent for the amount of food you get The cheong fan had a great bouncy texture and had plenty of sauce to make it savoury. I tried the canto big brekkie before and it was super filling and all-around a good munch. I tried the chicken grill plate today and came with 3 juicy, tender and thick pieces of chicken thigh. The skin was a bit crispy on the top and the mushroom sauce it came with was very flavourful. Some criticisms are that the wontons did not have much flavour and felt really bland. The thick toast was nice and sweet but wish it was toasted more and crispier. The server got one of our orders wrong but they apologised afterwards and it was understandable since it was quite busy. Overall, highly recommend for anyone missing the traditional HK diner vibe.
Extreme disappointment! Ordered famous satay beef soup noodle, high expectation as they are one of the Hong Kong style cafe in Eastwood with good reputation. However, huge disappointment. Beef was tough and bland, msg soup base, not using Nissan noodle as stated on the menu. Most of all no satay sauce at all!? What do you mean by satay noodle!!! Totally false declaration. Cost $16.8 paired with a cup of tea 😬
The Hong Kong style milk tea is very good 👍🏼. “Pineapple Bun” is also good, but the bun is not hot enough. The beef noodle is a disaster, it is just too sweet, no taste of beef, noodle is over cooked.
Decent taste with the dishes. Pretty quick cooking time even tho it's busy. Curry fish balls - average at best The claypot rice - has small bits of chicken bones which makes chewing not fun... I would come back and try other dishes
I love to come here for brekkie. Best price ever for a steak breakfast @$21.30 with flat white. Coffee is average but drinkable, brekkie is HK style and delicious. Customer service is not bad, just that they are too efficient and everything’s going rush in busy hours. Anyway it is recommended if you are looking for HK style cafe.
