If you’re after solid Cantonese BBQ in the inner west, Yummy King BBQ is a spot that consistently delivers without breaking the bank. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the variety on offer. Whether you’re dining solo or sharing, there’s plenty to choose from across their BBQ selection. The highlight is definitely the BBQ meats—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavour. Their Cantonese-style Peking duck is a standout, with perfectly rendered skin and tender meat. The mixed BBQ options are also a great way to sample a bit of everything, and they don’t disappoint. If you’re looking for value, their combo meals are hard to beat. Generous portions, good variety, and well worth the price—ideal for a satisfying, no-fuss meal. Overall, Yummy King BBQ hits that sweet spot of quality, value, and consistency. A reliable go-to in Campsie when you’re craving proper Cantonese BBQ.
One of the rare places left in sydney where you can buy suckling pig portions. Under order as they tend to go over what you ask for by about 25%. Friendly service tho. Taste wise it was not amazing, but plugs the craving if thats what youre after. The roast bbq pork siwl yook was nicer (also a lot cheaper).
Avoid this place! Last night around 5pm I passed by and there wasn't a single person in line at their takeout stall, though there were a few scattered people sitting inside. I decided to buy here because the other stall had a long line and I didn't feel like waiting. I picked half a roast duck to take home, but when I opened the box at home, I was furious! Besides the duck neck, there were only large chunks of bones, maybe only one piece of breast, and not a single leg piece! Is this place taking advantage of takeout customers who only open the containers at home? The roast duck itself didn’t taste fresh either (I often eat roast duck so I can tell). The owner has no basic integrity in business and they just try to rip off whoever they can! This is not the proper way to run a business a you will soon lose many more customers. I will never buy from here again!!
A causal visitor from Brisbane dropped by Campsie and wanted some light for afternoon tea. I ordered their tea time special to try out their BBQ meat but turned out offered with a dish of burned BBQ pork ribs which I couldn't even bite into. Might come back again for their A la carte menu and hopefully they would offer something proper.
You really can't beat this place in campsie it's busy and lively the atmosphere the smell is mouth watering delicious. For Vietnamese Tet Chinese New Year be prepared because long queue at times so better to come early and find parking! Warm friendly atmosphere eveyone and the families around enjoying the food and vibe Hong Kong Cantonese Style even though we're Vietnamese 😁💯. Dad is a Hong Kong Vietnamese Wok Chef in Marrickville soo he knows the owner for many years so we get VIP Service straight to the front of que hehe. Fyi Pigs Head Cheaks are the best for tasty offcuts meats look at how much meat i got from the head wow I'm eating good tonight ❤️
