Well, Kottoo has (re)opened and it’s definitely a different vibe than Dish. The food is still tasty but now served in take away containers on a cafeteria tray! Compare my table photo with those previously taken when it was Dish! I had to ask for plates for us to eat on… and no more tap water, only bottled water. It looks like they may be aiming for the Uber Eats crowd. sorry, I cannot recommend eating in when it’s like this.
The food is delicious, but the service and atmosphere could be improved. My favourite are the fish rolls, I would have provided a 5 star rating just for them, but they aren't as full of filling as they used to be. The curries are great, especially the okra curry. The service could be improved though, we had to flag them down multiple times to order, and they missed some of the order.
Absolutely delicious Sri Lankan food! Every dish was full of authentic flavours and cooked to perfection. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommend for anyone craving a true taste of Sri Lanka!
I went with my family. It was my first time eating Sri Lankan food and I didn't know what to order, so I just picked some of the more well-known dishes. When I tried Sri Lankan food for the first time, they all looked the same. All the dishes seemed too salty to us. But I enjoyed the unfamiliar spices and the souses!
My recent visit to Sri Lankan Street Food was very good. Despite the restaurant being busy the service remained efficient. The dishes were full with flavor, and the menu offered a good variety. I’m already looking forward to trying the dessert options next time. Overall, I recommend this simple and cute restaurant for anyone seeking tasty food and good service.
