My family (husband + 11 and 13 year old) had lunch here on a Saturday lunchtime and it was awesome! We didn’t have a booking but managed to get a booth no problem. Menu was explained to us by great staff and wait time for food to arrive was good. It all came hot and tasty looking. We had the tasting platter which was a great size and I highly recommend to get a variety of wings. Plus we had two orders of the chicken breast fillets which were delicious as well. Atmosphere was as you’d expect for a wings place and we loved it. Unassuming from the back street entrance but worth the visit. I haven’t found this variety of wings outside North America before. Yum!
I enjoyed eating at Wings and Tins. The restaurant is a popular place for drinking. It is located down a side street and can be a bit harder to find. We walked around the block twice because we missed it the first time. It is a small, unassuming restaurant that doesn't have large signs indicating where it is. Because of the size and popularity of the place, I would recommend booking in advance. We came on a Wednesday night when baskets of wings are half-price with the purchase of any drink. We ordered the satay, honey bbq, whiskey maple, and house buffalo. I thought all the flavours were tasty. Each had a distinct flavour and were well sauced. They came out hot. The wings were a good size. Service was good. It was friendly, helpful, and sincere. Staff were working hard. Due to the size of the restaurant, how busy it is, and the loudness of the background music, it can be hard to hear each other talking. There also didn't appear to have an accessible entrance to the restaurant.
Awesome place, highly recommended! We had the tasting platter, definitely the way to go. Sauces for the wings were Alfie's Hot sauce, Honey BBQ, and Spicy Portuguese dry rub (which was amazing!). Pickles had some spice, slaw was delicious, and the Nitro Milk Stout from Batch Brewing Co was creamy and delicious. Vibe was a bit like a dive bar, but I really appreciated it! Writing all over the walls, fun art, loud hip hop music on the speakers channeling the mid 2000s.
Killer wings, chill vibes, and super friendly crew. Everything hit the spot; flavour, freshness, atmosphere. Easily one of the coolest spots to kick back and eat. Highly recommend.
I'm a vegetarian and thought to bring my friend who is from Canberra this place to finally try it. The service was average. I was told that we didn't order the sweet potato fries so I went to order them and we got two anyway (fairly certain we paid for both). The fries were crispy which I loved to their credit. The 2 sets of wings that I ordered for me were average. The chickenless chicken was dry and the cauliflower were better but nothing to write home about. My friend said hers were pretty nice but we wouldn't go back. Atmosphere was pumping so you did have to raise your voice to be heard. Think it's more aimed for the carnivorous crowd but I was left with a pretty heavy stomach with not much to cut through all the fat I'd consumed 😂
