The staff are always friendly, the food is always fresh, and very reasonably priced for the portion. I had the braised beef noodle soup (which is so fragrant and tasty - make sure to add coriander, fried onion and chilli), cucumber salad and steamed dumplings. I love that you can choose the thickness of the noodles.
Friendly and efficient service. Got our order nice and quick (we barely had time to find seats). Soup temperature was perfect, and the beef and noodles were great, though would have preferred even firmer noodles. Portion was pretty generous too. Glad we picked 1919 today.
Good to have a 1919 in the shire! Makes up for the loss of Din Tai Fung. Located in first level Foodcourt above JB Hi-Fi. Affordable and reasonable portions. They take card payments with surcharge. The thickness of the noodles are customisable, same as the other 1919 branches around Sydney. The soup is addictive and aromatic. Comes out hot and fragrant, you can't go wrong with 1919 Lanzhou soup noodles!
If we could give zero stars, we would. Ordering our 3x braised beef noodle soup, my youngest wanted his standard plain noodles and soup. No meat, no veg. Basic and 4 meals in total. Hurstville store and previously Miranda have always charged $4 for this bowl of noodles and water. Their price, not ours. Today the lady at Miranda wanted to charge us full price $15. When we advised that usually the store would charge us $4, she said If you like it good, if not go away. She also wanted to charge us a surcharge for a Saturday (non public holiday). Very rude interaction with zero customer service. We will never return here based on this lady's attitude.
Very busy stall, had to wait a little while as they ran out of noodles & there was a new batch being made. Noodles were nice & bouncy, cucumber salad was ok, dumplings were fresh. Overall, not bad!
