I almost skipped this place after reading some of the negative Google reviews, but the beautiful indoor plants caught my eye and convinced me to give it a try. In fact I’m really glad I did. The menu has a great selection of classic Shanghai dishes, and the flavours were genuinely authentic. Everything tasted well-balanced and familiar, it instantly reminded me of the food I grew up with. On a side note 😗as a plant enthusiast, I love how healthy and well cared for all the decorative plants are. It might seem like a small detail, but it reflects the level of care and attention they put into the restaurant management. Though the service could be improved, I’d say the overall atmosphere is great for family gatherings! If you’re looking for authentic Shanghai cuisine, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a chance rather than judging it solely by some of the older reviews.

Fantastic food at this bustling Shanghainese restaurant. We loved the salt and pepper pork chops, xiao long bao, pan fried pork buns, and the Yangzhou fried rice. The live barramundi is also delicious and great value. The sesame balls in rice wine was a nice way to finish off the meal. Bookings are highly recommended.

Very impressed by this place, plenty of variety and cooked well. They also are very quick for service considering how busy they get. Not the cheapest place but worth the money. Will be back again!

Very fresh, authentic Chinese food. Always packed make sure you make a booking in advance. Great place for catering a larger group. Must try their pan fried buns and pork belly with quail eggs. I’m excited to try more of their other dishes next time

One of the restaurants show casing central and west Chinese cuisine. One of my favourites is the slow cooked pork with quail eggs. Although to the less initiated, this restaurant did not have "pictured" menu and would be a challenge to the non-Mandarin speaking/reading customers unless one attempts to figure out from the limited description below the Chinese writing. Although some Chinese restaurant provide hot tea of choice without charge, here a pot of tea is $8.00. 🤔
