we tried: • Seafood with tofu hot pot ($26.50) – warm and comforting with a nice seafood flavour. • Hokkien fried rice ($18) – tasty and satisfying. • Braised beef brisket with flat rice noodles ($19.80) – the beef was very tender and the sauce was rich and tasty. • Deep fried prawn meat ball Chiu Chow style – crispy outside and juicy inside. Very delicious. We got this as the Friday special and only paid $13.40 (original price $26.80). Each day has a different special dish, and you need to spend at least $58 to redeem the special price. The serving size was good and the price was reasonable. The restaurant was clean and can get very busy during meal times.

The sweet and sour pine nut fish was the best dish — nicely balanced, and definitely something you’d order when eating out rather than cooking at home 👍. The Peking duck was just average, but the skin was way too thick and honestly quite unpleasant 🤦🏻‍♀️. After one wrap, I gave up. We also ordered the XO stir-fried clams, but the clams were very small and lacked wok hei. The BBQ meat platter was disappointing — the char siu was too lean and not fragrant enough. The half free-range chicken was ordinary, nothing memorable. Overall, I’d come back for the pine nut fish, but not the rest.

​The menu didn't specify whether the "Star Grouper Two Ways" and "Roast Duck Two Ways" were half or whole portions. When served, both felt like less than half a portion, and the fish/meat in the two courses didn't even seem to come from the same fish or duck. On top of that, someone rushed us to order just a minute after we sat down, which felt way too hasty.

OK, so if you want to have BBQ meats in Eastwood then this is the place to visit. However, they also do the seafood really well so tonight we decided to give that a go. The crab dish came wrapped in a gigantic lotus leaf in a bamboo steamer. The crab was flavourful, succulent and sweet and the glutinous rice soaked in the crab juices. Service was swift. Bookings are recommended. Edit: Came back to try their set menu with lobster (ginger and shallots style). It was cooked just as well as at any other Cantonese restaurant. Great value and delicious.

The food was really good and the staff were lovely! Everything came out quickly — such a nice Chinese spot. The eggplants were a little salty, but the morning glory was amazing: super crispy and just right! The soup was very comforting, and the truffle fried rice was delicious. Definitely going back to try more dishes!
