My experience at Chen’s Little Kitchen Campsie was genuinely warm and comforting. This is not a flashy restaurant chasing trends, but a place where you can sit down, relax, and enjoy a proper meal. From the pacing of the dishes to the thoughtful extras like sweet soup, fresh fruit, and even steamed buns at the end, it is clear that the team truly cares about their guests. Overall, the food was very consistent. The steamed fish was fresh and well cooked, with clean flavors and good texture. The poached chicken and other hot dishes were generous in portion and tasted homely and honest. The fried rice was fragrant, well balanced, and perfect for sharing. The steamed buns were soft and comforting, and the dessert and fruit provided a pleasant and thoughtful finish to the meal. What stood out most was the sense of balance across the entire table. It was not about one standout dish, but about how everything came together smoothly. The meal felt calm, satisfying, and unhurried, which is especially important for family dinners and group gatherings. The reason for four stars instead of five is mainly due to one beef dish, where the beef flavor did not come through as strongly as expected. Compared to the other well executed dishes, this was slightly disappointing. However, this is a small detail and does not take away from the overall positive experience. With a bit more attention to this area, the restaurant could easily reach an even higher standard. Overall, Chen’s Little Kitchen is a place worth supporting. Visited Chen’s Little Kitchen for the first time today and I had a really great experience. The food was delicious, the place was clean and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. A woman working there was especially kind, attentive, and made me feel very comfortable. Her friendly attitude really stood out. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!”

I just moved two blocks down and ordered some take away. I sat there and was given tea while I waited with my little (well trained) dog. I felt like I entered someones family home and am teaching myself to cook a couple of the dishes I ate that night, they were delicious and new to me. Thank you for the broadening of my knowledge of Chinese cuisine. I went the next night because we had enough food around the house and just wanted to try the entrees. I ordered too much and the owner took me by the hand and gently explained that. She made me a little bespoke sampler entree. I am currently trying to work my way through all of the restaurants but I will be making this one my most frequented and a place I would want to take people to feel warm and cosy. I think this is the longest review I have ever written but it was worth it. Xoxo

What a delightful banquet family meal. We chose the set family banquet for 10people, and what a fantastic feast we had, friendly wait staff who does the best with their limited English! Its a sure family favourite restaurant !
