Came here on a weekday for lunch. Relatively quiet as it was past peak hour. The siu mai with truffle, scallop, prawn and pork was nice. The soy scallion noodles were served steaming hot (which I liked) and had a nice chewy texture, but slightly on the salty side. Other dishes were just okay. The highlight of the dining experience was two robots serving dishes - they act as a conduit between the kitchen and the dining area, and the floor staff picked the dishes up and brought them to the tables. There was only one lady servicing all guests and doing payments at the till - she was friendly and lovely.
The food was nice and flavourful. The fried prawn dumplingsand spicy sauce dumplings were delicious and definitely a highlight. However, I found the pricing to be quite high for the overall atmosphere and tableware. I didn’t appreciate being served food in chipped bowls, which took away from the dining experience. I was genuinely surprised that such a popular restaurant lacks basic service standards, and I would strongly recommend management review this.
Great place for family gatherings or catching up with friends. The staff are really friendly and prompt, and the food arrives fresh and hot. It’s a great spot for Shanghai-style Chinese food. There’s a wide variety of dumplings to choose from my favourites are the spicy chicken dumplings and the salt and pepper tofu. The ambience is quite simple, but one of the highlights is the robots serving the food. Overall, a great place for Chinese food, including fried rice, noodles, and dumplings.
We met up with the fam here. The food was excellent. We got a range of foods, as there was 11 of us! I could only snap a few pics of the food as my fam was too quick to eat it! The food was good, but bland. It wasn’t spicy at all. There a lot of freebies here. There are free ice blocks, biscoff and mentos. This place was definitely better than I expected.
Stir fried noodle with beef 'slices' came with minced beef. Doing it no favours was the black pepper sauce, which had more of a tomato sauce flavour, but not in a good way. To their credit the staff were happy to remove the dish and take the order off our bill. They also changed the description of the dish in their online ordering portal so it now just says 'beef' instead of 'beef slices'. Unfortunately the duck pancakes were also a miss - came with very sad looking duck - fatty, chewy meat, and such a pittance amount of hoi sin sauce.
