Best Hainan chicken! My friends have been coming to this place almost past 10 years and Iโve come to check out the dish. It was moist, tender and fragrant and I definitely endorse it to be one of the best in Sydney! The taste is apparently always consistent and services are warm and friendly with good prices too. No wonder they were introduced in English best food guide media. This is one of the cheap food court eateries. We better find out where they will move to after the Mandarin centre closes down by end 2026โฆ.
Friendly service and average food. I ordered the hainan chicken rice (after a colleague of mine was raving about it all day!) but ended up a little dissapointed at the serving size of the chicken and the lack of green (ginger & shallot) sauce. When I asked for more sauce, I was advised it would be an extra $1 charge. I also ordered the seafood wonton egg noodle soup. The soup was very bland and lacked much flavour. The seafood was comprised of 2x prawns, 2 fishballs, 3x pieces of fish fillet and the rest was just imitation seafood meat.
Update: I tried the Laksa and its one of the best Laksa ive ever tasted ๐ญ super worth the price for 18.50AUD, its wasnt able to finish it in one go. Definitely a gem in Chatswood! ------------ Update: I tried the Chili beef and its super yum!!! its goood for two, esp if you buy an extra entree. --------- Hainanese Chicken both breast and thigh were really good, i also love the Crispy Chicken too. Long queue but very efficient, it took me less than 10 mins for my whole order. The only downside is the environment, which is an old food court, if youre sensitive to dirt it's not for you.
We ordered the seafood laksa at East West Gourmet and it did not disappoint. The broth was absolutely delicious rich, flavourful, and comforting. The serving was generous with plenty of fresh seafood, which made it great value. The staff were also incredibly efficient and handled the busy period with ease, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!
This is one of the best places in Sydney to go to for Hainanese chicken rice. We opted for the chicken thigh and it was so moist and tender. A great value, delicious meal at $17.
