The best rice cakes I have ever had. Ended up having second round 😆😆 Not sure what to expect at the beginning. Turns out food is delicious, very affordable price and service is great. Highly recommended.

Most dishes have more pieces &/or were larger sized & significantly more flavourful, than those at the popular Vinh Phat (which on this Sunday 29 Dec had a massive queue stretching all around the street corner of their building), which is the only other yumcha we been to in Cabra. After eating here I would prefer to revisit this place for sure. Although no toilet in sight. Every dish had a more complex & tasty flavour than those in Vinh Phat. The only one that was bland was the siu mai / dim sim one. There were 2 or 3 empty tables available so we didn't have to wait at all at about 1pm, though this was after Christmas period maybe a lot of ppl were holidaying overseas. The service was immediate, plenty of trolley attention & clear communication & like Vinh Phat they cut yum cha pieces in half for us without us needing to ask. Prices not bad $6.50 for small dish, $7.50 for medium, $9 for large. There were 6 of us (3 adults, 2 teens, 1 tween) & the charge for tea & 2 chilli saucers was $5. Not bad vs at Vinh Phat where the cover charge at $2.50 per person would have cost us $15. The silken tofu dessert in syrup had the tofu filled all the way to the brim of the small bowl, & a nice authentic ginger infusion.

I accidentally stumbled upon this hidden yum cha place in no1 building. It was late afternoon, which most yumcha place would have been closed, but they welcomed us in. And oh so glad we did. It is the most affordable yumcha we can find at the moment. The quality was also 10/10 fresh, wholesome and just yummm we had to order for take home!! Definitely will be back more from now on.

I love this yum cha place as it's so old school and reminds me of my childhood. Everything from the white table clothes to the curt, borderline rude wait staff and the hustle and bustle trying to get everyone in and out. The variety here is not as much as all the other yum cha places but what they do have, it's of great quality and good. For two people the variety was great and we got to try all our favourites including the classic egg tarts, mango rolls, mango pudding and black sesame fried balls. If you haven't been, you need to try this place. I think it's really busy on the weekends so if you can go during the week it might save you some hassles!
