Your classic Chinese set menu for two or more people. You can choose dishes such as fried flounder (+$5 extra) or steamed fish. All the set menus come with complimentary side dishes such as one vegetable dish and one complimentary soup. The soup is nutritious and is the classic Cantonese style soup to drink before eating dinner. Highly recommend the set menu options with the fried flounder to anyone who has yet to try this restaurant. It won't break the budget either.

The standard of food and service has hit the bottom. Half cooked noodles, drinks arriving only after finishing eating and over charging. A new lady who spoke Mandarin when I arrived at 2.45 pm that Lunch special was over at 2.30 so I picked two items, wanton noodle and beef brisket noodle from the High Tea menu instead ($25 in total), but when comes billing I was charged Lunch special prices ($38.60). She claimed that I have earlier requested for lunch special so she did me a favour to serve me High Tea food at Lunch Special prices. Beef brisket noodle is not even on the Lunch Special menu. Such creativity!

Good deal as they do set meal with fixed price and big portion. Some dishes are really good, some may taste better with more seasoning. The service is really good and food come out really fast. Would suggest to go early to avoid long wait time. All set meal come with complimentary soup and vegetables.

This place has been here forever but we never had a chance to try. Tonight finally we decided to give it a go. We ordered the 2 people dinner set with honey glazed pork ribs, salted fish with chicken and tofu pot. It comes with soup, vegetables, and rice. On top of that we added salted egg fried eggplant and efu noodles. Overall food quality is good. We especially like the honey glazed pork ribs which is very tender and the sauce was done right which is not too sweet.

We had a wonderful dine-in dinner experience at Ginger and Shallots Cantonese Restaurant. We ordered the 2-person family meal deal. We chose honey and pepper pork and rainbow beef. The meal deal consisted of a rice bowl, a meat and vege soup, a cabbage dish and a pot of green tea. The cabbage dish was nice. For me, the highlight was the honey and pepper pork dish. The rainbow beef was also so yummy. This entire package was around $50. The portions were generous and very sufficient, so we ended up taking some leftovers home. We also added an iced coffee to satisfy a craving. Friendly staff, good food, wonderful experience.
