If you haven’t been here before, don’t be alarmed by a massive queue! That’s for pickup orders, and they almost always have a table free to sit down. The food is consistently delicious with affordable pricing and generous servings. Service has always been spectacular, with a full meal in front of you within five minutes from sitting down. One of my favs in Hurstville 😋
One bite and I’m right back in HK. No doubt - just honest food, totally like a Hong Kong lunch spot. The vibe is super down-to-earth — nothing fancy, just eat and go. If you’ve been, you get it. ❤️🇭🇰
Pro tip if eating in just walk inside don't need to wait in line. If they're nice they'll also take an order for takeaway too. Came here to try some Chinese bbq and yeah it's pretty good here. The crackling on roast pork was really good and duck was cooked well. Cha siu was a bit normal but that is fine. There is always a line here for takeaway so be patient if you're ordering. The inside does get a bit crazy. There's not a lot of seats inside.
After waiting for half an hour in the heat, the experience was extremely disappointing. The cashier was inattentive and displayed very poor manners. I ordered BBQ pork but was given roast pork instead. When I pointed out the mistake, she rudely shouted that I had ordered roast pork, no apology whatsoever. To make things worse, the roast pork was dry, with barely any crackling in the box, and even that was burnt and inedible. The chicken feet were the only decent part.
Tried many Chinese bbq places and this has to be the best by far. We have been patronising them for years now. Although it’s like a field trip for us to get to them but it’s totally worth the drive. Almost everything that is hung on their windows is delicious, cooked to perfection. Their bbq pork is exquisitely crispy, it gets sold out quickly an hour or two prior to close of business. Be prepared to join the long queue though.
