The sign outside the restaurant is quite misleading. Because it is called "Handmade Ramen," we assumed it was a Japanese restaurant. However, after a kind elderly lady invited us inside and we took a seat, we discovered that it was actually a Chinese restaurant. We decided to keep an open mind and give it a try. The menu was quite difficult to understand, so we ended up looking at what the table next to us had ordered. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. The staff spoke very little English, especially the server. We ordered the BBQ Lamb Skewers, but instead we were served Cumin Lamb Noodles. We politely explained that this wasn't what we had ordered, but the server simply replied, "This is Lamb Cumin," left the dish on the table, and walked away. At first, we thought it was just a language barrier. However, we then noticed the same server also delivered the wrong dishes to a nearby Chinese-speaking table. It became clear that the problem wasn't just communication—it was a lack of professionalism and attention to customers. The dining experience became even worse because of the strong body odour from the server. Instead of enjoying the aroma of the food, we were constantly distracted by the unpleasant smell whenever the server came near our table. It completely ruined our appetite. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The misleading restaurant name, poor service, incorrect order, and unpleasant dining environment made it not worth the money or the experience. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Save your money and go somewhere else.
I can only review the noodles I have had several times. Much better than some other places around the area. We have only tried a few riches multiple times . Always enjoyed .
Delicious noodles and big portion, even though I prefer the soup of 1915 Lanzhou beef noodles. Next time I should try the thin noodle. The service was also very friendly. Small dishes are very great, with perfect size and flavour. Very affordable price, $35 for 2 people.
I went to Handmade Ramen restaurant in Hurstville and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. We ordered a variety of dishes and received warm and welcoming service. The prices were reasonable. Some of the dishes we tried included Lanzhou noodles, lamb skewers, scallion pancakes, tofu with preserved egg, marinated beef in soy sauce, and shredded tripe in chilli sauce.
Went there for a quick lunch. Service was bit slow. They busy with takeaway orders. Lots of seating customers been waiting to serve. Noodles are tasty though, you can tell it’s handmade. Soul is bit light. Lamb skewers are strongly recommended. Sweet and sour pork’s coating are too thick. Don’t like.
