What a hidden gem! A kind of hole in the wall place you’d easily walk past, Xi An Cuisine offers some authentic food that is not altered to suit western tastes. We ordered a selection of things to try like the spicy pigs ear, jellyfish with cucumber, marinated eggs and trotters. All were full of flavour. The cold noodles with chicken and sesame were a more delicate option, but the dish of the day was the lamb pita – a must try. The portions are generous and so cheap!
The Mog Champ sends his regards. First time coming here for food and we all ordered some noodles. I had the soup noodles with pork and it was pretty good especially for the price! A very satisfying portion. The service was really quick as well, food came out within 5 mins all together. The tables could be setup a bit better, the outside seating was angled a little so it was a little bothersome when the table's legs weren't even as well. But it's what it is. The food was good and would recommend their dishes for an authentic Chinese taste! Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ
Honestly really disappointing. The skewers were not tasty at all, everything tasted bland. The fried rice cake skewer wasn’t crispy like it should be. it was soft and kinda mushy. On top of that, 3 skewers cost $10 which is definitely not worth it. Wouldn’t come back.
I was used to come here 7 years ago after a friend made me discover this place. So happy to find this gem again, the food is absolutely deliciously the best. I highly recommend and would be back again. The Liangpi made me so happy. Flavours are incredible.
Our favorite was the twice cooked pork belly with rice, so yummy! The cold noodles with sesame oil and chicken had subtle flavour which was enjoyable on its own. I wasn't super impressed with the pita with pork so might try the lamb next time. Overall, a flavourful meal with fast service! Seems to be also very popular with takeaway orders from locals in the area. P.S. accepts cash only
